Groceries
What does everyone spend on groceries on a monthly basis? I was shocked to learn I spend an average of $1500 a month.

Hey there! I just moved here from Utah for a new job and I thought I would put some of my photography work out in some local circles. I have been working as a freelance photographer for a little over 5 years, and if there's anyone needing some photo help or just wanna get into photography, I'd love to chat. I shoot lets of film, plenty of digital and try to keep it pretty old school with my equipment.
If anyways wants to check out more of my work or just chat over Instagram:

I'd love to just get in touch with anyone interested in some photography in the area. It's my biggest passion, and I'd love to just connect with some of you through it.
what's a good place to go to watch them?
I was walking on Rivermont and noticed a speed trailer on the side of the road. I also noticed a camera mounted on the back and was able to take a couple pictures. I ran it through a search engine and it seems to be an AXON license plate camera called Outpost. A quick google search on AXON and I found some interesting articles that are concerning.
Why do we have to have license plate readers at all?
Is this something city council approved?

I know they said in March that they were closing a while and potentially moving
I recently moved here from DC and was given a Yorkie dog that’s about 4 years old. I finally found an apartment but in order for me to move in my dog has to be neutered? I am supposed to moving within two weeks. Does anyone know where I can get him neutered within the next two weeks? Help!
I can't afford to run the Central AC and have a stand-alone AC unit, but it's stuck in the 80s. How is everyone else doing, and how are you staying cool?

EDIT: We understand now that this flyer was most likely AI-generated. This was a template that we had purchased from Etsy in order to support an independent artist. We have since reported the seller to Etsy.
Indivisible Lynchburg will never intentionally support the use of A.I.-generated content in any of our actions. We strive to support small business and the working class.
Why does it smell like a porta potty between the downtown exit and the kemper exit tonight?
I’m not even sure what I’m asking, maybe just to know there are more people out there? Maybe to hang out in an air conditioned place with lots of water and snacks where I don’t have to stand?? Who knows.
I’ve been battling chronic physical and mental illness most of my adult life (38F), and it’s gotten much worse recently.
One of the things I’ve recently realized is how uncaring some people can be. People who don’t struggle with these things simply cannot understand.
I’m just …. single and alone and sick and sad and tired, and surrounding myself with my married, neurotypical, healthy friends is not helping. At all.
As a paranoid smaller built female with little to none self defense skills, where is the safest place outdoors to go for a run in the Lynchburg/Forest area alone in the early evenings (before/after work hours)? Preferably a popular busy park with a lot of people nearby at all times, where least amount of crime happens.
Edit - I’m also open to a recommended high school/local track if it’s accessible and safe
Hi does anyone know somewhere to watch the USA vs Bosnia and Herzegovina game tonight? Are there any watch parties? I assumed they were showing it at the amphitheater downtown but saw that they’re not.
Hey Lynchburg I have been growing a colony of Ukraine pied Isopods for some time now and have a bunch of juveniles ready to go to a new home! They are great in bioactive enclosures working as a clean up crew kinda like springtails do. They are fun to watch and can be an educational tool for young children and adults as well. They grow to about 1 inch big and pretty much take care of themselves. You can feed them premade isopod food or their favorite is cork bark and cattappa leaves. You can also feed them certain vegetables if you blanche them. You can get them 10 for 15$ or 2$ a piece 😍. I will also make sure you have a care guide and answer any questions you might have for setting up your bioactive enclosure or about the isopods themselves! One last thing these are not good feeder insects as they grow a hard shell. Ok thank you!!
Everyone has been so helpful as I’m new in town! Looking for some MD recs now - 30+yo female, overall healthy but due for checkups with GP, derm, and gyn. Also need to transfer mental health care from previous out of state provider. Female dr preferred but not required. Fine with virtual or in person visits as well.
TIA!
The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission claims that the Salvation Army denied a part-time case worker reasonable accommodation to seek treatment for cancer.
The report outlines 14 areas of improvement that the city’s incoming fire chief, who starts July 1, should address in the department’s climate, culture and human resources practices.
For the love of all things good & tasty, someone PLEASE point me in the direction of where to find the best meatball sub in Lyh. I don’t know what has taken over me but I think I’ll actually die if I don’t eat one soon
