Grace kms for service

Suppose first service is at 2k kms. Then what is the + - grace kms within which the owner should get the vehicle serviced? If its exceeded then will they void the warranty?

Going pre owned worth it!?

I am already using MG ZS EV since last year and have already driven around 40K kms.
But lately the range sucks, during peak summers it’s hardly 150-200kms and during peak winters as well there is battery drain. I think maybe it’s a piece issue and will try to get it sorted but lately have been thinking to get BE6 79kwh. I don’t mind pack 2 or pack 3. But from a financial decision POV getting this pre owned makes more sense to me. The car it’s going to replace is baleno (it’s not driven a lot and is used for small errands at home).
I do like to drive a lot and if the range is around 500kms then it will surely be a lot more usable for road trips for which I use my diesel car.

Can someone please shed some light on range ? Some people say they get 500+kms, others also struggle to get 350kms. I drive very light footed and am well aware about how to drive an EV. On a good less hot day when my ZS EV is behaving I do get around 7-9km/kwh easily.

And how is rear seat ? My current car i.e. ZS EV sucks on the rear seat space. I am 6ft tall and everyone in my family is kinda tall only.

Please share some reviews and insights!

Google maps on main screen on iPhone

I don’t know what have changed recently, but after the latest update, I am now able to use Google maps also in the driver screen on iPhone. Earlier only Apple maps used to work, but now even Google Maps is working. This is possibly one of the sweetest software update yet.

Mine is pack 2, 79 kwh

Issues with Range and Efficiency

I'll preface this by saying that I know this question has been raised a lot on this subreddit but I'm feeling a little paranoid so I'll ask it again.

Usually I used to get 650 to 665 km with AC off and 585 to 590 km with AC on. The average efficiency that I used to get was around 8.5. It's been almost a month since I've started getting 3.5 - 4.5 efficiency consistently. My route hasn't changed, the way I drive hasn't changed and my AC settings are still what they were before (23 temp with fan speed at 3). There was an issue with an OTA I installed so I took my car to the service centre and they reinstalled the update so it's not a software bug. Now I know the heat is brutal (45 degrees where I live) but I've been seeing people say that their efficiency has dropped like a couple units but for it to be half of what I usually used to get is crazy. Is the excessive heat the only reason why this might be happening or should I get something checked if this isn't normal? Would love some advice as I'm losing my mind.

Thank you.

4 month old be6 tyre torn

Hello everyone,

One of the tyres on my BE 6 got damaged after running over a metal piece on the road. There is no air leakage, but a chunk of rubber has chipped off the tyre sidewall/tread.

Could anyone advise on the best course of action? Is it safe to continue using the tyre, or would replacement be recommended? Also, does insurance typically provide any coverage for this kind of tyre damage?

Is it okay to keep the vehicle & AC on while charging

While doing fast charging on highway is it okay to stay inside the car with AC and infotainment system on ?
I have seen few posts where people drive lot of distance + long hours In a single trip - recent one from twitter
https://x.com/idoctorABL/status/2056940317769912823?s=20

The image shows - the trip took 28hrs . So naturally he should have taken a few stops and should have charged.

Need help with the thought of switching to an EV

I have a 2024 i20 sportz manual, which i got in june 2024, which has done 24000 kms so far, my usual running is 1000km per month The car is good and I am satisfied.

But lately, due to the news about e20+ mixing in petrol, and fuel price hikes, I am planning to switch to an EV. Currently, I have the BE6 Pack one above variant in mind which has 59kwh battery and will coat me around 22L on road in bangalore.

Here is my background:

I am a software engineer from a village in karnataka. I go to office every week for 2 days and return back to my village. In my village I have a farmhouse, and the nearest tier 3 city is 3 kms away. There are 3 to 4 60kw chargers in my hometown city.

Every 2 weeks I take my car to bangalore and this trip is around 170kms one way. So around 350 to 400 kms for the entire trip. I also do long trips occasionally.

My questions are,

  1. Is an EV justified for my use case?

  2. Can this be my only car? I am planning to exchange my i20.

  3. Is 59kwh enough?

  4. What are the gotchas that I need to keep in mind?

I am planning to buy in December, please help me with this.

Thanks in advance

Weird issue when connected to Wireless Carplay/Android Auto

So I have been experiencing a weird issue with AA and ACP. When connected my android or iphone, automatically connects to the car WiFi! This is causing a weird delay (the other person and I hear each other's voice 2 seconds after ) in voice transmission on calls! But when I disconnected the wifi, AA ACP disconnects as well. If you guys are experiencing the same or if any one found a solution to this let's discuss below. Thank you

Areas for rodent spray in be6

What are the specific areas where the rodent/rat etc. spray should be sprayed?

How many times should it be done in a month?

Which rodent/rat spray is good? 3m? There are tons of options online.

Is there any product which can be kept around the vehicle so that the rats stay away? Have heard that tobacco leaves works the best but not able to find them anywhere. Does that gutka, pan masala in a cotton cloth really work?

Be6 pack one vs e vitara zeta

I am planning to buy an EV car and went to take test drive of be6 and e vitara.

Be6 is no doubt powerful and has a great kick back but e vitara feels less powerful and it is right so on papers as well. But e vitara interior feels good as compared to monotone be6 interior. I got quotes from both dealers and e vitara is 50k cheaper than be6 plus they are offering free 7.2kw charger and 1000unit charge. I wont be using 7.2kw charger anyways.

Be6 roof dips from front to back because of coupe design and hence anyone with taller height will have to really bow there head down to ingress. Whereas in e vitara headroom is less.

E vitara offer alloys whereas be6 got steel rims plus e vitara offer some features more than be6.

Can anyone else recommend which one should i go for.

150KM per day running - which car should i buy?

Hey everyone, need some genuine advice from people who’ve experience with EVs/hybrids

My daily office commute is around 150 km approx round trip 74km one-way (North Delhi to Gurgaon via UER2), 4 days a week.

Currently driving a Tata Altroz petrol which gives around 13 kmpl and my monthly fuel cost is touching almost 20-25k sometimes.

I live in a flat but I do have dedicated parking, so home charging is possible but have to opt for three phase meter etc which would be extra task for me but manageable

Now I’m super confused between:
Mahindra BE6 79 kWh
Creta EV
Hybrid options like Hyryder grand vitara

Initially I was leaning towards BE6 because the battery size 79kw + claimed range seems amazing for the price (around 26-27L)

But then range anxiety kicks in when I think about long trips or highway driving. We do family trips maybe once or twice a month mostly to hillstations

At the same time, I’ve heard mixed things about hybrids:

Some people say Hyryder gives crazy mileage in city only but on highways the mileage drops a lot

My route is mixed, but a good chunk is highway/expressway driving on UER2

What I mainly want:
- Comfortable daily commuter
- Good for family
- Reliable for long term
- Low running cost
- Not something that feels tiring after daily Gurgaon runs

Budget is 25-27L can stretch upto 30

Would an EV actually make more sense for my usage or should I play safe with hybrid for now?

I built a custom EV Highway Route & Range Optimizer for Indian roads. Need your real-world feedback!

Hey guys, I bought the XEV9S recently and this is my maiden ev. One thing that fascinated me the most was how unreliable the Indian charging infrastructure is. That’s why I built an app(testing stages) which helps locate chargers on your route dynamically as per your car’s requirements. I’ve dropped the link below. Please try it out, I would love to hear your opinions, ideas and feedback.

Ac issues after service

My cousin got his vehicle's first service done 2 days ago. He usually travels with his family and kid and keeps the ac speed at lowest or second lowest setting. The ac worked very well and the air filter used to drop the aqi to 1 and 2 in no time.

Apart from the inspection, they said that they have cleaned the air filter during first service. Now his vehicle's aqi never drops below 60 even after driving the car for hours.

For testing he increased the fan speed to max and the aqi went down by like 10-15 points but stayed between 45-50. Then he opened the door and windows and surprisingly the aqi started dropping and came down to 15. He also complained of pollen/earthy type smell sometimes.

Complained to the service center and they are giving him time after 5 days as all their slots are busy. So, that's why asking here for help. Photo of the climate screen

BE 6 FE2 owners/bookings, how long did delivery take for you guys? Or did anyone actually get delivery yet?

Booked my BE 6 Fe2 on March 2nd and so far it’s mostly just been waiting.

Got the booking confirmation mail and reference ID back then, but after that there haven’t really been any updates from Mahindra’s side.

Asked the dealership a couple times and even they said they haven’t received much info yet either.

So just wanted to know from others here, how long did it take for you guys to get updates like:

production allocation, VIN, delivery estimate etc?

Not complaining or anything, just trying to get a rough idea of the actual waiting period people are seeing rn.
