Dealer offering Jan’26 manufactured car

A dealer in Mumbai is offering me a Forest green BE6 but manufactured in January of this year. Should i go for it?

I am weary of the fact that the car has been sitting for 8 months unused and maybe earlier buyers would have rejected it due to some or the other issues. They are offering a standard 2.5 lakh discount which was standard across dealers in Mumbai in July and the sales person said that he can try for 20-30k additional discounts.

The discount might not be applicable if i decide to order a new vehicle

Long Trip on BE6

I went for my 3rd road trip on BE6, covered 1815 kms in 5 days.
Few observations if you drive below 85 kmph you get the best range 7-8 km/kwh
85-96 kmph you get 6-7 km/kwh
100-123 kmph around 5-6 km/kwh
130+ anything goes below 4km/kwh

all this in range mode
Adaptive cruise and lane control works very well , part of my drive was 6 lane highway, so I set it up at 118kmph to avoid the continous beeps , but never really take your hands off steering or eyes off road, it’s a good feature which helps you drive easier on highways but with how other people drive here it can’t be so easy.

also a minus point of adaptive cruise control is at points where you can overtake at same speed, it hits the brakes drastically because it detects the vehicle in the front to be too close, so manual acceleration override is helpful else the experience becomes jerky, similar situation happens at turnings even though there is no vehicle on your lane.

Overall I loved the driving experience, especially when for a certain time I was driving in 140-160 kmph range , top speed which I hit 180 kmph without even realising or pushing hard for it, for driving experience BE6 has,if people complain so much about hardsuspension I don't mind it, though even in City Drive I found suspension to be ok, not as bad as people complain.(it was a fairly empty stretch on six lane highway, else 120 kmph is safe limit to drive on our roads)

Charging was not an issue , 60 kw chargers are available at 100 kms roughly, Tata’s charging network I have found to be the most dense and reliable in last 7 months.

if anyone of you have any questions , do let me know

edit:- It costed me ₹6403 along with 1 full AC charge at Home(around ₹400/-)
total ₹6803/- expensive when you charge outside but still half cost if it was ICE engine car

I am a Senior Sales Consultant for Mahindra’s EV division (BE 6, XEV 9e, XEV 9S). AMA about real-world range, booking waiting times, or charging.

Hey

With Mahindra pushing hard into the Born Electric (INGLO) space with the BE 6, XEV 9e, and XEV 9S, I know there is a massive mix of excitement, skepticism, and genuine confusion on the ground.

Most official marketing materials just repeat the ARAI range numbers and glossy feature lists. But as a Senior Sales Consultant working directly with these cars and customer feedback every day, I want to give this community some transparent, unfiltered answers.

I’m here to answer anything you want to throw at me. For example:

23% to 4% in 5 minutes (Safe Mode)

I had posted a couple of months ago, about car going to safe mode, then post a shutdown for 15 minutes, the warning went off. (ODO 7800)

I took it to service centre, and the SA confirmed that all was okay. (ODO 8000).

Today (ODO 8170) it was again in safe mode and I just wanted to get it from the elevated road (which is roughly 5km), car couldn’t handle that. And it went rapidly from 23 to 4%.

Now just booked RSA, and almost took a couple of hours, but the service experience with Mahindra is good, but really EV comes with its own quirks.

Deal btwn Mahindra and PDI?

What's with Mahindra and PDI? No dealer is allowing PDI for Mahindra in Delhi NCR? Is there a workaround or trick to get them to do it besides doing it ourselves.

Car paint bubbling update

I had recently posted about my BE6’s paint bubbling on the right rear door. And I had asked about warranty claim.
Yesterday I gave my car to the service centre and showed them this. They checked the paint depth and got back to me 4 hours later and told me that the panel will be repainted and the warranty claim will be passed.
So just updating and here to say that I’m quite satisfied with Mahindra and my BE6.

Improved suspension post first service P3 79

Just drove home from the Service centre with noticeably better suspension feel. They had mentioned they will apply some updates besides general washing and cleaning. The update was only applied to the “infotainment”.
I didn’t feel any difference in the car until i went over a speed breaker and a couple of potholes. It felt like there were pillows placed in the potholes. Usually i brace for hard impact since i had made peace with the fact that the ride on the BE6 is just stiff.
I hope this sticks, as i have heard this adaptive suspension has a mind of its own.

Is this normal?

The km/kwh is showing very high, is it some sort of bug or do I need a software update?

Also additionally i don't hear any sound coming from the top front speakers above the head. Is it some setting that has to be changed or is it normal?

Finding Battry health/SoH of your BE-6/9/9s !

Hey 👋

After the recent app we made, to get soh and now the Soh values is not available in Mahindra servers at all, they removed it, so that app is totally dead 😥, so I made a new tiny app which gets your charging data and predicts the battry's SoH value based on it , it might not be accurate 100% but it will be close to the accurate value and might have ~3-4% of variation in predicted and orignal soh value of the battry !

Is Anyone interested in this kinda app ! If yes then let me know in the comments, I'll make this thing open-source as well if more people wants to know their battery health 😁

Is this normal behaviour?

Got car (Pack 3 : 79kwh) delivered on Sunday. Drove it to detailer at about 30-40km/hr. Only 79km on the odometer so far. The range shown at the showroom was 385km & at the detailer today its showing 310km with aircon.

The showroom guy said that the range will normalise once i start driving & after a few charges.

Is this normal? Images attached

Confused!

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to switch to an EV with a strict budget of ₹20 lakh. My driving is 70% highway and 30% city.

I've test-driven the Mahindra BE 6, MG Windsor, and Tata Curvv EV.

- BE 6: Loved the ride quality and cabin. My concerns are range consistency, long-term reliability, software glitches, and Mahindra's service.

- Windsor: Didn't like the wind noise and suspension.

- Curvv EV: Really liked it overall, but I'm worried about Tata's after-sales service.

Which one would you choose for long-term ownership, especially with frequent highway driving? Would love to hear your real-world experiences.

Which is the better VFM option? (Quotations attached)

Hi everyone,
I have attached the quotations for both the BE 6 Pack 1 (₹20.46L) and Pack 2 (₹23L).
I am close to booking one of them and wanted some advice from existing owners or anyone who’s been through the same decision.
Which one do you think offers the better value for money?
Looking at the quotations, is there anything else I should negotiate or ask the dealership for?
Any hidden charges, accessories or add-ons I should be careful about?
Anything you wish you had negotiated before taking delivery?
Also, there seems to be a lot of discussion online about a possible variant refresh/update coming soon. If that’s true, would you just book any one of them and wait until mid-August before finalising the variant, or just go ahead now? I’m good with pack one if it gets some additional features from one above. Else if two gets 360 camera that would entice me for pack two as the speakers are much better there too and it’s a big plus for me.
Would really appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Decent quote?

This price is being quoted by a dealership for a january manufactured BE6 pack 3 11kwh charger that has been sitting on their lot. 2.5 lakhs is the standard discount that is being offered across dealership and they are not willing to budge anymore.

Average waiting time for BE6 Pack 3 79KWH NCH

So I have booked BE6 Pack3 NCH 15 days ago and the official waiting period for delivery is communicated as 2-4 weeks but given the fact that they haven’t yet allotted the VIN it doesn’t look very practical.

Does anyone has any idea about the recent waiting times for VIN allotment and delivery ?
