Bugfruits - A Fantasy/Entomology Mail Club

Hi all! It was a personal goal of mine this year to start selling my art, and after being introduced to mail clubs by my friend and perusing this subreddit for a little, I figured it was a good way to warm me up to putting myself out there. I grew up with no confidence so this is a very scary step for me!

Every print and sticker in this club is painted by me digitally and I outsource my prints and stickers so that they're super high quality!

Every month comes with a 4x6 print, a 5x7 sticker sheet, a (hella) nice sticker, a mini coloring page, and a newsletter highlighting some positive science news that I've read throughout the month (with sources!). I aim to get things all arrived by mid-month, so these will hopefully be in your hands the week of September 14th. I'm still learning... so please let me know if you have any suggestions!

Thanks for looking/reading everyone!

Just started a mail club and figuring out whether to sign the letter or one of the prints

Hi, September is my first month for my mail club! I’m so excited for the back-end work to be done. It took me almost 3 weeks to paint and another week to trial and error the printing side but seeing a letter wrapped up makes it sooo worth while! Now, it seems like the hard part is waiting for subscribers 😅 it feels like I’m posting to the void on IG.

Anyways, I’m re-thinking whether to sign the letter or the prints instead. I see most mail clubs sign the letter though, it feels redundant when I close the letter with my name on it. As a watercolor artist, I’m used to signing my painting. The question is, the Print Deluxe Tier receives both the 5x7 art print and the postcard, do I sign both? But then, that’s gonna be a lot of signing in the future 😅

As a mail club subscriber, which one would you prefer to be signed?

If you have a mail club, do you sign yours and which one?

Any tips for getting your first subs? I just launched a sapphic/lesbian print club!

Any tips for getting subs the first month of your mail club? I launched a little over a week ago, and I'm posting on socials every day. I'm offering one art print, 2 stickers, and a letter at the $10 price point. This month I did everything with acrylic paint, but I may play with other mediums in the future. I'm using consistent hashtags relating to mail clubs and sapphic/lesbian art. So far I only have one subscriber who is an artist friend. I would love any advice folks here are willing to share. I'm very excited to grow and I would really appreciate any wisdom from people who are more established. My socials and landing page are linked below if you'd be down to take a look. Thanks in advance!

Does anyone here use MailClubly? If so, what’s your experience like?

I’ve been looking at different mail club platforms and MailClubly stood out to me. However, I had some questions so I messaged their contact email from their website. It’s been a few business days and I haven’t heard back. Is this a typical experience?

Would love to hear any other thoughts about MailClubly as well.

If you could see the data behind hundreds of mail clubs, what would you want to know?

We're (Posthouse) putting together a snail mail report using survey/data from hundreds of active mail clubs and their subscribers.

Before I dig too far into it: what would you actually want to know? If you run a mail club, subscribe to one, or have thought about starting one... what are you curious about?

Could be about money, growth, subscribers, pricing, retention, why people join, what works, what doesn’t, or something completely different.

Would especially love the weirdly specific questions.

edit for clarity: the report will use anonymized, aggregated platform trends alongside voluntary surveys.

This month's letter set is an ode to garden fresh tomatoes (US only)

Hi!

If you appreciate a cohesive stationery set to write your pen pals with, check out my mail club! Each month, I design and hand-draw a letter set and stickers to send out to my members. And never fear, the paper is fountain pen-friendly.

This one was inspired by my favorite taste of summer: tomatoes!

A D&D snail mail club

Hi everyone! My D&D snail mail club is launching September 1st, and I wanted to get the word out!

The Oracle Scrolls is a monthly mailing packed with tools to use at the D&D table. Each month includes DM materials, player materials, a work of flash fiction, D&D stickers, and a mystery bonus material. Each month has a different theme (September is "Celestial Alchemies") that I use to decide details of that month's mailing--like the tiny stamps I carve to decorate the wrap, or the book cover on the flash fiction.

I love writing and worldbuilding and doing things with my hands, and I wanted to share that. But it's not just me sending you stuff. It's designed for you to use at your table. Stat blocks, character sheet art, even the short story is up for grabs, just pluck out whatever you enjoy and put into your own game.

If the Oracle Scrolls sounds like something you might be interested in, check out my Instagram or Ko-Fi page! You can find me @ oracle.dice ❤️🗡️✨

Original art ACEO mail club?

Hi 👋

I just want to put some feelers out there to see if anyone would be interested in a mail club for ACEOs that are original paintings, so each one is a unique, one-of-a-kind painting.

I feel like it would be a great way for people to build up an original art collection. I love painting abstract landscape ACEOs, and I paint quite a lot in a month.

I'd love to know your thoughts on this - do you think this is a good idea, and would anyone be interested?

Obviously, I wouldn't price too high as I know people don't want an expensive monthly cost, so I was thinking around £10 a month? I feel like that's a good deal for original paintings, but I'm not sure if anyone would be interested anyway 😬

I've added some photos of my ACEOs so you can take a look. They're mini abstract landscapes based on Welsh scenery 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

I love abstract art as it allows me to get creative with colour and composition, and I also love the way that each landscape can look a little different to each person 😁

Please share your thoughts - thanks! 😊

Little teaser I made for my mail club / September Mail

I am really proud of this one, I hope you like it. My mail club is about a tiny mouse named Molly, exploring the Faraway Ruins. It has adventure, lore, a bit of cozyness, a bit of wonder, a bit of magic and of course crafts. Because, yes! - my club is all about reading and crafting along with Molly's adventure. This month I also made a little cooking game.

[Selling] Monthly watercolor art prints/postcard mail PHP 380.00/ USD 9.00 (shipping included)

Hi! I'm Pepper, a watercolor artist from the Philippines. 💌

The artworks are my own original watercolor works, printed on quality art/photo paper and sent as part of the monthly mail.

I currently only have two people receiving these, which honestly makes it feel like I'm sending extremely elaborate letters to two friends I haven't met yet. 😂 The part I love most is putting all the little pieces together and imagining someone opening the envelope on the other side of the country.

I'm still figuring out what this little project will become, but I'm having way too much fun making it. 🥹 Please check photo if you're interested!

Snail mail constantly getting lost in mail? what do I do?

has anyone else had issues with USPS lately? About three months ago, I started a small art subscription called the Cozy Mail Club, where I send out decorated envelopes with my art, postcards, and little goodies.
Unfortunately, I've had a really unusual amount of mail disappear.

l've sent around 14 pieces of mail, and about 7 of them have never reached their destination even over a month after sending the mail. This has been really frustrating because I've had to refund customers for mail that never arrived, which means I'm losing both the product and the money... these are untracked and sent by stamp by mailbox

however upgraded to a tracked package is expensive especially since my mail is $11.99 a month, that would cost a extra about... $6 I would hate to massively bump the price up that high for the shipping! I doubt my current subscribers would be thrilled about that....

I'm wondering if anyone else has been experiencing similar issues with your local USPS service? Has your mail been getting lost, significantly delayed, or not delivered?

Someone also mentioned that because I decorate my envelopes/packages, they may stand out and potentially be more likely to be stolen. But I doubt anyone would risk loosing their job over some art lol

⭐️september letter 🪵⛺️🔥

i’ve been running my stationery mail club for 3 months now! and this month i wanted to design a theme around summer camp / camping. i really had a lot of fun designing this so i wanted to share it here.

just to give a little background on my mail club, im an aspiring stationery designer and thought a monthly club would be a great way to introduce my stationery art. journaling is one of my biggest hobbies so making stationery just made sense. every month i design different pieces with journaling in mind. a lot of the times that means more stickers or notepad papers. and i try to change up what’s in each letter so it doesn’t feel like a collection of the same things.

i design and produce all the pieces at home! so its definitely a bit more work but its more cost-effective to make everything myself so i hope i can continue to do this as i grow. outsourcing is great but it can be very costly.

as a graphic designer who struggled with finding a job after losing my last one, creating my mail club was also somewhat of a rebellion against digital subscriptions and AI-generated art. i dont use any AI in my art, my zines, my captions, or any piece of my work and am proud to wear that badge.

if youre interested in learning more or checking out my zines or other stationery goods, please check out my website!
