Ok so I'm making this post cause I'm seeing many students panicking regarding the new attendance issue.
You have to attend all the CA's for the internal marks. There are 3 CA's, 2 are written test and avg of two of the written tests will be considered for one part of the 10 marks (total 3 part of 10 marks= total 30 marks from the internal exams)
The ECA is the online portal based CA exam same as the CA-4 we used to have. It will have 25 marks.
WCA is based on your attendance and class assessment.
The first part (avg of CA 1 and 2) and the WCA part are in the hands of your college so total 20 marks of internal depends on the college.
The ECA depends on your online exam
The formula to find marks allotted out of 10 is {marks obtained out of 25 (avg marks considered for CA 1&2 or the part one) / full marks (25) } × 10. For ECA it remains the same but instead of avg of CA 1&2 we just take the marks obtained in the online exam then divide it by 25 and them multiply with 10.
Is the attendance mandatory for CA? No!!!The attendance is only mandatory for the end sem exam and your avg attendance will be considered, making that 75% is not that hard.
Before this when CA's were not mandatory and the best of 2 or 4 rule was there, some colleges used to impose the rule of maintaining attendance to get marks in CA's but now that the CA's are mandatory, if your college imposes the same rule then it is solely a fault of your college and your college is retarded
Today I went for decentralised councelling in a college and they said that since my THEORY IN MATHS IS NOT 33% IN 12TH I CANT BE ADMITTED.
I searched everywhere for this criteria but couldn't find anywhere .
So is there any student enrolled in makaut with less than 33% in 12 ?
I feel like this is a bullshit rule made by ollege itself. But please can u all confirm it

So pretty much I fucked up , I took admission in BSC data science in an affiliated college under MAKAUT also payed the 1st sem money butt after I went to class for freaking 1 day I'm so depressed and anxious. The whole exam system is difficult to understand and recently found out there is also some mandatory extra curriculum marks (100 marks per year and passing marks is 25 in that) and apparently if I don't do that shit I won't get a degree!!!!! Hell is that true??? Then comes the 75% attendance criteria. Now the issue is I also got selected in a government college under West Bengal state university with bsc computer science , which one should I choose ? I shit scared to tell my parents because I don't wanna disappoint them in any way
Also I have to travel for 1hr 30min to reach my current college which is also a big reason for doubting my current selection of college

So, I am someone who finds the lectures at college a waste of time. It takes me nearly 4 hours of travelling in total to attend my college. And yes, I can't take a PG/flat right now near the college(reason - unexplainable). I am left with little to no time at the end of the day for self study/exam prep.
In this very term, I've heard from the faculty that if 75% attendance is not met, we can't appear in CA.
Now, I will try my best to attend lab classes and some of the theory classes too.
But, about 75%, I am highly unsure.
If anyone has gone through something similar in a MAKAUT affiliated college, please share your experience on how things worked out, what's true and what's not and yes, how to manage things somehow....

Hi seniors I just cleared my maths rt after an year as an private candidate, (pcm cs)
I thought I should go for makaut as some of my neighbour's are saying it's good and steady but as the online hub of makaut which is this sub reddit, it's clear as sky that makaut is strict well known to suck out children's lives
after seeing this the only option I heard of is autonomous college
my aggregate is 60% and 45% in maths
and my estimate budget is 4-5 L
I am not that eager for large placements, I can dedicate 3 hours of consistency daily in my studies and tution provided apart from college
anything but not a college with really bad environment just decent enough to fit in and not strict attendance I am not aware of how 75% attendance criteria works will it be okay if I go 3days a Week

I completed the 3-year BCA program at MAKAUT (2023–2026), and my final result has been published. I now want to obtain the 3-year BCA degree/certificate.
Is anyone else in the same situation? If so, could you please guide me on how to apply for the 3-year BCA certificate/degree and where I need to apply?
I'm doing bba from a makaut affiliated college. It's a 4 year course but I'm planning to exit after finishing my 3rd year. I just wanted to know that if it is possible or there are any kind of procedure to get this done.

Is this MAKAUT exam “passing” offer a scam?
Someone contacted me saying that he can make me pass my MAKAUT exam because he has connections with people involved in the examination process.
He is asking for money and claiming that he can guarantee the result. He has also asked for things like login/verification details and says I shouldn't tell anyone.
I haven't paid anything yet.
Has anyone experienced something similar with MAKAUT? Is there any legitimate way someone can influence/change a MAKAUT exam result like this, or is this definitely a scam?
I would appreciate advice from MAKAUT students who know how the examination/result process actually works.
Otherwise how the heck do people go for internships?😭
KGEC just released an official notice confirming that the MAKAUT Controller of Examinations has officially revoked the odd semester enrolment fee for regular students.
The details about the cancellation and exactly how they are adjusting the fees for those who already paid are explicitly written in the notice, so just give the image a read.

my fees budget is 4.5 L
also do I need a laptop
and i have a part time job to support my family so will the attendance criteria can choke me up
