Is it true that MAKAUT this year will take avg of CA marks instead of best of all 3/4?

Hi everyone!

I recently moved to Kolkata from another state with my family. I had to leave my previous college due to some personal reasons, so now I'm looking to start fresh here.

I'm currently confused between BCA and BTech, and I'd really appreciate advice from students or alumni.

The colleges I'm considering are:

Heritage Institute

IEM

Techno India University (TIU)

Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL)

I have a few questions:

In today's job market, would you recommend BCA or BTech?

If I choose BCA, which of these colleges offers the best faculty, placements, coding culture, internships, campus life, and overall reputation?

If BTech is the better option, which college would you recommend?

If you've studied at any of these colleges, I'd love to hear your honest experience—the positives as well as the negatives.

One more thing I'm confused about:

I didn't appear for WBJEE or any other engineering entrance exam this year. One college told me that they cannot offer admission through the management quota without a WBJEE rank.

Is that actually true? I was under the impression that management quota admissions don't necessarily require an entrance exam. Is this a rule followed by all colleges in West Bengal, or does it depend on the college which follow MAKAUT?

I'd really appreciate any guidance. I'm new to Kolkata and don't know many people here, so your advice would help me make the right decision.

Final year Bsc data science student here . After makaut has absolutely messed up my entire future timeline but postponing 6th june exam to 14th june , i'm here to ask when can we expect the results to come out ?

And also right after the results come out can i immediately apply for provincial certificate ?

Will I get the digital copy immediately ?

Also my final question , will digital copy be accepted as enough proof for verification if I'm applying to any domestic university for pg admission ?

Pls let me know if anyone knows its extremely urgent for me 🙏

I mean seriously??? Why tf we engineers have to study biology? Never saw a doctor studying mathematics.​

Ok so as the title said ... I gave 3 exams of my 2nd sem the first paper went very well ... After that chem and math went average ... But I have attempted plenty of the questions ... They were all right ... But the thing is after the paper i couldn't check the paper like the numberings of the answers correctly in the paper and all as I wrote till the last moment of the exam ... And out of nowhere a constant thought is bothering me if I have given the number sequence right or not .... As my friends are saying they are getting back and this that ... It is causing me heavy anxiety what if due to my own mistakes I lose marks ... Although I never make such type of mistakes but still... Anybody please can you console me a bit ... Like in a worst case scenario if I forget number marking of questions then can I get the marks of the right answer or I will lose all the marks .? Please someone help me ... I still have one exam left ... But this constant thought is being a distraction for me ... Please someone let me know what happens...

Can a paper still be reported/marked for RA even after the exam is over? Today, I was caught with cheat sheets by the external examiner. They confiscated my answer script for a while, scolded me a bit, and then let me go without marking it as RA. Can they still mark that paper as RA later on?

P. S: I don't understand how these scammers run their buisness on Telegrams.. by cheating so many people.. and are able to block others after receiving the money who themselves should be thrown out of such platforms

Makaut is imposing so many rules but people are still finding a way to cheat. Some people brought the phone and still some teachers were blind. Another person printed something else on the admit card but got caught.

So any cheating stories in your class? And by the way our bathroom break has been reduced to 4 minutes🤦🏻‍♀️

My gmr rank is around 49k i applied through ews but i didn't get the certificate now should I apply under any govt college what if they gave me top of my preference list and then i didn't eligable through my normal rank then what gonna happen I could not even apply for lower college in my preference list

How strict are the exam invigilators at your college? Has anyone from your college got caught with a phone, chits, or any other unfair means during an exam? How did the university react? Did they really gave RA? I'd like to hear about stories from your college
