Yes I’m huffing the Marvel Vs Capcom hopeium again IT CAN HAPPEN OKAY??
listen marvel tokon has given me nothing but disappointment, I needed something to quench my fast paced flashy fighting game that involves marvel characters thirst somehow.
I tried to balance returning characters and newcomers while also having as few UMVC3/Infinite repeats as possible, which is why I axed characters like Frank west, nemesis, Zero, Ghost Rider, Nova, and Dr. strange.
so what do yall think?

Marvel vs Capcom: Millennium - Coming Holiday Season 2005!
Goofy idea for a hypothetical PS2-era Marvel vs. Capcom released between MvC2 and MvC3.
The goal wasn't to make a wishlist roster, but to build one based on what Marvel and Capcom would've realistically pushed around Holiday 2005:
• Spider-Man 2
• Fantastic Four
• Blade Trinity
• Elektra
• RE4
• DMC3
• Onimusha 3
• Viewtiful Joe
I also tried sourcing almost every character from actual PS2/GameCube/Xbox-era models to keep the gloriously chunky early-2000s aesthetic.
Who would you add or cut?

I think a fan game could theoretically be made using assets from all these games. Maybe someday I'll learn how.

Questions about modding MvC2
Marvel vs Capcom 2. The most unbalanced, at times broken to the point it’s a feature lol, and imo the best fighting game ever. I want to mod it.
Have dev experience, yet never in games, and I want to use the emulated version to add Ratio mode (IYKYK), and rebalance characters (frame data, a few character moves, health, etc).
Id love to add moves and even characters, but I figured start small since all I’ve read about making fighting games is that it’s one of the most difficult things to do right.
Any advice, whether good or bad would be appreciate, as it’s a passion project. Thx.

Alguém aqui joga com a Marrow? Qual o real potencial dessa personagem? Quase nunca vi ninguém jogando com ela.
Acredito que ela seja do tipo "Mid Tier". Tens uns golpes interessantes, é bem ágil, divertida. Não sei por que quase ninguém joga com ela.
Não sei usar os assists dela, mas cria combos com certa facilidade.

Vocês têm certeza que o Wolverine é tão ruim assim, nesta versão? Era god tier nas outras. Como pode ter caído tanto?
Vejo tier lists por aí onde quase sempre o Wolverine aparece lá embaixo, bem embaixo mesmo.
Mas me pergunto como foi que chegaram a essa conclusão.
Wolverine tem agilidade, rapidez, facilidade incrível para iniciar combos como poucos ali naquele jogo.
E tem bons super combos.
Como pode ele ser considero pior do que o Dentes-de-sabre?
Eu sei que este jogo possui estratégias e jogabilidades diferentes.
Ainda assim, é custoso acreditar que ele possa ter caído tanto.

How the hell do you play this game?
Long story short, I'm trying to jam on a fighting game with my friend and he really enjoys Tag Fighters, MvC2 specifically.
I've always loved MvC2, but I'll be honest, it's Mash Central over here.
I don't know how specific things work at all. I just was hoping to have some help or guide to learning how to play. I believe the characters are also set up like DBFZ with a Point Mid and Anchor character.
I don't wanna optimize my team and be a God Tier player. I just wanna know how tf this thing works. In Game Guides and Tutorials never really work for me and I have no clue why.
I just really wanna know the basics to be decent.

X-Men Vs. Street Fighter 97
X-Men: The Animated Series was brought back last year in the form of X-Men '97... and it defied all initial fears regarding certain changes to prove itself as a worthy revival. Unfortunately, the second season won't arrive until 2026... but Marvel & Capcom both have to give us something to tie us over in the meanwhile... so I'm suggesting a revival of the classic fighting game X-Men Vs. Street Fighter. For X-Men Vs. Street Fighter 97, I'm pitching 16 characters available at the start... and more being added in seasons, in a manner akin to Killer Instinct 2013. The gameplay will combine the gameplay of Killer Instinct 2013 with 2-D animation akin to Skullgirls & classic Marvel Vs. Capcom gameplay.

How much of a fan are you?
- Played in major tournaments
- Played in a few local tournaments
- Love playing online in Fightcade/GGPO
- Played some with friends or at the arcade.
I'm #4. I know the lore of the game, the characters, and love clearing arcade mode. The most I've heard done was chained a large AHVB combo one of my friends back in the day.
