Well it’s officially all gone thanks to UPS…

As I posted like 6 weeks ago here, UPS lost all my Masters gear I shipped home from Augusta, roughly 1600 dollars of gifts, presents and memories.….gone. After ”working“ on it for a month plus they sent me a text yesterday saying they are closing the case and just refunding me the money. I also had a Gnome and other stuff which makes this particularly heartbreaking.

What really infuriates me is while it is 1600 bucks of stuff it is closer to 5k if I was to see it‘s value on EBay so in a way I feel like I lost a lot of money. What an absolute bummer and no joke I just had a bad feeling this year when I handed them the merch to ship home that something bad could happen.

What a sour taste - I actually got like 6 super cool Navy blue hoodies for my nephews who love to golf to each have and those are gone. Stuff like that. Still processing it all…..so angry.

2012 (?) 16oz Tervis

Cleaning out the in-laws storage unit for some camping equipment and found these beauties. I was so excited and my father-in-law just said, “if you have a chance to go I would highly recommend it”. They will live in our new camper and be well loved. I assume they are 2012 since that’s the tournament he attended.

Masters Grounds Crew hoodie

Can anyone tell me anything about this hoodie? If you think it is authentic? Thanks!

History of the 'Special Invitation'. And, a call to action. Michael Block.

I have been a part of this subreddit for a long time, under a few different handles. And, I come in peace...

... I'm looking for a list of examples of 'special invitations' for the Tournament.

AND, I humbly suggest we start a movement for Michael Block to receive one...

5 years ago, I wouldn't think that an online petition would sway ANGC, but... times have changed a bit.

The dude exemplifies everything that the history of the club (and, The Masters) has righteously stood for.

I understand 'earning your spot', but I'd also argue that this man has. And... his time to earn one on merit, and actually compete to win... is running out.

But, I'd love this storyline for Augusta, even though I know some folks are tired of hearing about his PGA Championship appearances.

I know that he's not an 'up-and-comer'... and my suspicion is that the vast majority of Special Invitations have been issued for that reason, in the past... but, I'd be curious to know the full history & also to hear arguments for/against this idea.

I'm a lock for Block! See you all on the next second Sunday of April.

Signed,

Bill/GnomeBoy/Etc
