Messaging matches

It says on the website "All of our free members are now able to chat with every match! Once you match with someone, you can message each other directly." Yet, when you actually click on your matches tab, the profile is blurred out and it will redirect you to pay.

Am I missing something here? Or is it complete false advertising..

Found a Hinge Standout on Instagram…

I (27F) was scrolling through Hinge standouts out of boredom and came across a guy (31M) I actually would’ve messaged, but I don’t have roses and refuse to pay for them lol. I ended up finding his Instagram pretty easily.

Would it be weird to DM him on Instagram even though we never matched on Hinge? Has anyone done this before and how was it received?

Update: I opened Hinge this morning and he was the 3rd person on my main page. I sent him a message there but either he hasn’t seen it orrrrr he’s not interested…

Just being nice

I figure if I don't look, I definitely won't find anyone. It is interesting when I start to see a few new profiles. Hm. Wonder if that means something?

Doesn't seem like you can automatically assume the person just joined. Dug some profiles out of the virtual basement to get me to click?

So now, once a day, I try to compliment a guy. Say hey, [compliment something], and then tell them to have a good day.

I am guessing I am not their type. I don't think most people know what would be easy and fun in the day to day versus what the world tells them they should strive for.

Lot of nice guys that want to travel a lot. I am in a non-travel phase. Who knew that all the travel before I was 40 would mean not compatible after 60? Ha!

So even if I don't find someone ... will spread some kindness. If there is actually a person to read the kind comments. Lol.
