It's attacking inside of my MIND!!!!
Morning Pilots! Was hoping to get some advice for a hyped new player! I stumbled across the game last night and instantly fell in love with the pace and combat style. I haven’t done any real deep digging into the game, just checked out store pages, brief gameplay clips and scanned the sub for info. I used to play the notoriously failed (much to my dismay) game formerly known as Anthem, and I latched on to a similarity I noticed in the movement and awesome feeling of flying big bonkin robots. I’ve always been interested in armored core, but never pulled the trigger due to lack of a pvp/co-op focus, which Mecha seems to embrace. Any tips or advice for a newbie? This seems like a nice community and I understand the player count is a little low, and I will be climbing a top-heavy skill ladder but that doesn’t bother me at all. I was looking at playing Tricera, since my playstyle usually revolves around “I have a wall of armor and a wall of boom”. Thanks!
Sort of. This is an OC I made for mechabreak, have done lots of photomode stuff with them. Blah blah. Had them for at least 9 months I’d say after 3 months of development. Then Shion got released 3 weeks ago and I swear, my discord buddies will tell you I thought that they stole my character.
I downloaded overwatch immediately I have a bit of experience with 6v6 objective based game modes and ability spam from 8 years in destiny so I figured why not. After 92 hours I’d say I really like overwatch and have undoubtedly become a omnic main.
I love Shion, ram, and Zen to pieces as well as Orisa/bastion. Not Omnics but still. Anyway my character is mainly some mix of Russian and European descent, I just made the rest of them other than the face look as close as possible to Shion. (Hair /outfit/eyes/guns/ tattoos. The face is close but a bit to wide in the jaw. I refused to change it to keep the originality.
Personality wise I’d say they’re the same and have brought my OC further to life. It also gives me a way to play my characters in a roundabout way on their own two feet as their is no fps mode in Mechabreak, just 3rd person mech fighting. Also to stop me from burning out on it.
I completed the anima strike event only playing Shion in 6v6 comp and quickplay 20/80 ratio. After going up in mmr and fighting people who can actually hit crits consistently and have some awareness I think she’s fairly balanced, (Especially after the execution nerf).
Mecha BREAK UPDATE NOTICE: JULY 7,
Attention Pilots:
Mecha BREAK will undergo scheduled maintenance starting 6 July 2026 11:00 pm. Login and gameplay will be unavailable during this period. Estimated downtime: 6 hours (subject to change—check official announcements for updates). Upon completion, all Pilots who log in within 14 days of maintenance will receive a routine maintenance package via mail (1,000 Mission Tokens, not counted toward seasonal accumulation).
Below are the main changes in this update:
Striker Balance Adjustments,

Optimized projectile hit detection to improve weapon accuracy.,
AQUILA
Main Weapon: Mobile Beam Cannon (Close-Range Mode)

8+ Merit: penalty reduced by 10 points.,
6–7.9 Merit: penalty reduced by 5 points.,
Striker Stats,
Stat display optimization,
After this update, maximum stat values will be clearly displayed in the Striker Stats List. This cap rule reflects existing stat limits, and actual effects remain unchanged.
When a Striker's stats exceed the limit through mods or performance boosts, any excess boost will have no effect. The specific stats are as follows:
Structure
Blast DEF can be increased up to 70%.,
Ballistic DEF can be increased up to 70%.,
Physical DEF can be increased up to 70%.,
Energy DEF can be increased up to 70%.,
Striker stat limit adjustments,
To maintain long-term gameplay health and stat system integrity, minimum stat floors are being introduced this patch.
When a Striker's stats exceed these limits via Mods or Upgrades, the excess will not apply.
Energy Stats
Energy Reactivation Threshold (Depleted): min 5%,
Energy Depletion Cooldown: min 0.5s,
Weapon Stats
Cooldown: reducible to 30% of base value, floor of 2s,

Season Extension Notice,
To allow more time for seasonal content and gameplay refinements, Season 4 will be extended from its original July 21 end date to August 4.
During the extension, all current season content — modes, missions, leaderboards, and reward tracks — will remain active. Matrix Contract will also be extended accordingly.
Compensation details will be announced separately. Thank you for your patience, Pilots.
System Adjustments and Fixes,
System Adjustments,
Optimized the visual effect of the Nebula Radiance Frame: the effect no longer obstructs the Striker readiness score on the Operation STORM sortie page.,
Optimized the flow of the Basic Tutorial for FREYR so that the tutorial content matches the current Complex Shield mechanics.,
Optimized the refresh button's display effect in the Spectral Nexus' Upgrade interface.,
In Spectral Nexus, the Upgrade page will now refresh at most one Emergency Repair Chip to avoid duplicate repair options.,
Once scheduled maintenance begins, any ongoing Spectral Nexus run will force-settle at the next scene transition (e.g., moving from Level 9 to Level 10). Please plan your sessions accordingly. Thank you for your understanding.,
Bug Fixes,
Fixed an issue where LUMINAE using Aux 2 Support Jetwing and FREYR using Aux 3 Phantom Jetwing could not remove Immobilization from the Modular Weapon Pulse Claw.,
Fixed an issue where ALYSNES' parry effect would fail when triggering an Armor Purge or using Aux 3 Airdrop Kit.,
Fixed an issue in Mashmak where a melee Modular Weapon that was upgraded then recalled by a teammate did not have its durability properly reset.,
Fixed an issue where replacing a Mod with a perfect-quality Mod did not fully display the new Mod's attributes.,
Fixed incorrect Mod names appearing in the Mod interface.,
Fixed an issue where a teammate's Upgraded weapon icon overlapped with the level display in the equipment slot.,
Fixed an issue where the Modular Weapon Heavy Sniper Cannon could occasionally consume bullet count to an abnormal value when reserve ammo was empty.,
Fixed an issue where some Operation STORM items could not be sold for Matrix Credits.,
Fixed abnormal refresh countdown display for sortie missions under Operation STORM > Spectral Nexus | Beta.,
Fixed a brief white screen flash when opening General Shop > Other > Access Cards.
Spectral currently has a damage-stacking problem on both the player and enemy sides. Anything other than damage chips feels sub-C tier, which makes the mode become repetitive and mundane after a few runs.
ps
Frankly, I was expecting something closer to FTL or Slay the Spire—a roguelike with route choices —rather than another Vampire Survivors-style game.
The break edition and ps5 release date are still tbd with no updates on a release window. Forget the extra stuff and boom player base by putting it back on PlayStation 5.
Ok, so my triceria has like 63.1% blast resist and I got the melee chip which give 40% all dmg resist using thermal saber, and I was fighting Tristego and it uses the big rockets or howitzer thing and it did damage to my ho with 100% blast resistance. How?
I recently discovered playing Skyraider to be rather fun despite it being under powered, so I started eyeing up the most expensive item in the market place, s0 wings. Trying to figure out if it's worth it to try to get them i realized there's no way to preview the jet mode to actually see the fire effect. Anyone have pics or video of the wings in use to see if they're actually worth it?
Steam wouldn't let me export, so I had to screen record. Apologies for that. Also not the best Norne play, but it gets the job done if you follow the gist of it. If you need a description of what I did, ask, and I'll offer a run-down.
Just got this game today, have been absolutely loving it idk how I just stumbled across it! It’s so good!! Anyways I just unlocked the market and welkin is who I’ve been loving, I fw axe characters and fire powers so seeing how to get the axe was a must, I just unlocked the black market and saw two axes for 55k and then all the sudden after like two min of looking at them one for 3600 popped up and I snagged did, did I just steal it from someone who was trying to give it to their friend or someone who was trying to give it to someone for a discounted price?? Have played Forza and other games with auctions so did I just get lucky or is this normal?
When I got this kit I didn't even know it was for a game. I like gunpla, so now I kinda want a regular mech Falcon to match her. I see there's an action figure of it, but that's a bit pricey compared to a model kit.
the opponent AlySnes was starting to get on my nerve's.
One of the most egregiously designed challenges that I have ever seen by far.
I have to solo two flyers, one of whom is a complete counter to Norne’s entire kit. Norne does not have the mobility to avoid homing missiles, lasers, and autocannons, and he lacks the DPS capable of downing Falcon within a few well places shots. Unlike Aquila and Narukami, he suffers from projectile travel speed, which is practically a death sentence when trying to fight the one mech designed for high speed evasion.
I’ve seen people’s walkthroughs of this and the only way they could’ve gotten through was through sheer luck that Falcon’s AI goes full donkey. I sure wish my Falcon stood still like a lemming long enough for me to unload a full barrage over the course of several seconds.
I’m a Falcon main, and after testing out Norne’s kit and understanding his strengths and weaknesses, I guarantee you that any Norne, player or AI, will greatly struggle in dealing with me chasing after them like an angry wasp. They simply do not have the means to defend themselves against a mech that will have no trouble evading their arrows.
So how exactly do I pass this challenge?
I've been just sticking around gold 5 and playing casual so that I don't have to deal with hyper aware, aim bot, perfect parry perfect combo bots, and it is fine except for the stellarus bots. They are just so annoying and so aggressive to the point of being ridiculous, especially when playing stellarus.
Other brawlers like welkin, panther and alysnes are fine, but with all the kit that stellarus has to disrupt lock on and how aggressive they are, fighting them in any way usually results in me having to hope that the bots on my team actually help.
Does anyone actually enjoy playing against them?
How do you avoid getting insta-killed?
Nothing but bots until now. Just the one game though. A few after this one have also been bots.
Almost every team mate/opponent I have in ace arena has a title, medals, stats, gives kudos, switch when they get countered, ping targets. According to reddit, mayyybeeeee a couple of those were real players.
I get the stuff like odd behavior. Flying into walls or cheating with infinite energy or zero cooldown on alysnes. But im not seeing that much. Im only in masters 2 so . . . How do I know?
