Ducks in the parking lot
When I was finishing clearing carts on the GM side of the store, I saw some ducks laying on the grass under 2 trees. Anyone got suggestions on what I should name them?

Sooooo, when I was relatively new to Meijers I would use the scanners because at that time I was still getting used to the aisles and where product goes. Long story short caught wind from someone that the GC manager had sent out an email, looking for the scanner I had used and had said I was the last one logged in and they didn’t know where it was at. Next day, I go into the office to retrieve one and notice all the scanners are gone, like they just vanished. Never got an apology or nothing. And also heard from another employee the same thing happened with her! So now I just use the scanner on my phone :)
Lately my dept has been slammed and we've lost a lot of people like within the last month or so with more set to leave and our order capacity just got moved up. We take people from other dept daily we use to be able to be done before 4 and pick over like 120 orders with no problems but it seems like lately its just been unmanageable. I'm curious on how busy and how staffed other stores are and how the leads and leader handle day to day situations
My stores been doing a big floor clean for about a week now. Customers have complained to me at Sco pretty much nightly. Except for the night that they cleaned right next to Sco and I had to breathe in chemicals for 2 hours. Today is the worst. They sectioned off the break room. I bring a ready meal to work each day, so I can't warm it up, I can't take it out because it'd melt. I had to use money for savings to buy something.
Like maybe message your employees that work at night, Hey we're cleaning infront of the break room tonight. BTW
It's my next break. I'd like to add, I'm also parked by the door that's normally open so that's great. They've closed the big self checkout overflowed the small one with people, everyones irritated. And my manager has the gall to ask me to scan an item from every cart.
Absolutely maddening that this is allowed. Accident waiting to happen HELLO?
I made 12 dollars an hour in 2006 when I quit. 8 years came and went. It was like I lost my 20s and suddenly I was 30.
I few days ago I had a nightmare I was still working at Meijer. Arguing with people. Arging with management. Sad all the time. Aching back when they put in the too small for me rotating bag stands. Woke up and I didn't even know where I was.
I tried. I really did.
But I'm glad it's over.
I was door dashing yesterday and I saw these donuts and I had to take a picture. Those don’t look appetizing at all 😂
Since the beginning of this week, I CAN NOT punch in. I could be in the smack dab middle of the store and it just says my location is invalid/not locatable. It has my location and precise location permissions on, I'm on Meijer wifi, and I'm in the store, and yet I just can't clock in. I've uninstalled and downloaded again and it's still the same bullsh*t. I'm at my wits end. I legit don't know why it started. Is anyone having these problems?
Do others who work in the garden center have trouble getting their breaks and lunch covered?
Used to be able to just close the gates and go but now our market director has told us we're not allowed to close during marked hours. And there's days I don't get to take anything because management doesn't care about getting someone out there.
Why do customers think it’s okay to touch you. I was working an a customer just trying to be friendly touched my shoulder. I made me freeze. Like please don’t touch us.
Is this actually a thing they're supposed to do or is it just my store's management not being lenient? I think it's very unfair to still get pointed when I'm only like 7 minutes late or so. Especially when it takes 90 days to drop off. It's very rare I'm even late, only happens once every few months or so when the bus I take gets cancelled and I'm stuck with the next one.
PAY for cherries.
Take them HOME
Spit the pits wherever you like. It’s YOUR house.
If I make a purchase that I earn rewards points on, then spend those rewards on another purchase, making my balance almost zero, but then need to return the original item that earned me the points in the first place, will they deduct it enough that my balance goes into the negative? Like if I had 100 points left after redeeming 1000 points, but then need to return the item, will they deduct that 100 points AND make my account balance negative 900?
i worked for meijer between 2021 and 2024, so i haven’t worked there in two years. i’m trying to figure out how to withdraw my 401k money but the website they used to use doesn’t exist anymore, and according to workday my username is wrong (it isn’t wrong).
i’m already planning to contact HR tomorrow, but does anyone have any advice? did it rollover into an IRA account? i’ve moved at least twice since i quit so i’ve long since lost the papers for it.
I have 10 days or so of PTO, and if I leave, will they pay out that PTO?
We have bins at both entrances for plastic bags, and in the pickup room. All of them just go in the regular trash. I mean we literally tell ppl we recycle them ppl will bring their collections from home to recycle. I feel bad knowing they all think they’re doing a good thing. Do all stores do this?
Hello. I have been denied my unpaid time off each time and wanted to ask if there is any reason this usually happens? I give a good notice beforehand but I’m still denied. Is it different with paid time off? I work part time.
Ummm, 7oz isn’t 10oz. I know chip bags are always mostly air, but this is borderline theft….
Me personally I love their cheeses (including cream cheese) and their breakfast sausage.
I really love Meijers it's because it's different and unique
