25,000,000 Bonus

I am a long-time former employee at Meijer. I just heard from a reliable source that Rick Keys the President and CEO of Meijer received a $25,000,000 Bonus. This is in addition to his annual salary which is probably many millions of dollars a year. If this is true it is beyond excessive to give a regional grocery chain that kind of bonus. Meijer has 240 stores which is small compared to Kroger or Alberson's who each have several thousand stores. Instead of giving Rick Keys all that money maybe the company should have given that 25M to all of the 70,000 employees which would be a one-time bonus of $357 dollars especially since Meijer is one of the lowest paying grocery chains in the U.S. If the company paid Rick Keys 25M, can you imagine how much money the Meijer brothers must have made. Does anyone have any knowledge of this?

Did my cashier skipscan my boxers because she thought I'm cute?

Went in for some food, drinks, and ended up grabbing a bag of boxers. About 9 items total.

The underwear were supposed to be like $27.

I went to a cashier because I like supporting humans being employed and only the food ended up on my receipt. Should I go back and ask her for her number?

Meijer mPerks Bonus for Mobile Orders

Apparently you can earn 1,000 Bonus Points for Pick-Up and Delivery Orders. The order itself has to be $35 minimum. Had anyone had any trouble receiving their points or having the promotion removed from their account?

New signs for unauthorized filming?

Did something happen to prompt these being made?

ETA 2: Seems like there could be multiple causes. Meta glasses, incidents of disruptive and invasive customers acting technically within the law, etc.

ETA: This was probably because of a specific incident of a black man recording his own running videos in the far end of a Meijer parking lot.

Race relevant as he was not breaking Michigan law with his recordings and it is thought to be racially motivated scrutiny.

The placement of the signs isn't even going to address the issue taken with him as they are to be put on the doors; most people will understand this to be prohibition of filming in the building.

Meijer produce lead position

Without the criticism from other s on this platform I have a question. The store I work at keep giving the lead position to others in the store so they have a tile and these people never even work in produce . About 7 months ago a night shift team leader stepped down and the produce lead position was given to this woman. Since she has started in produce the only task my manager gives her is doing salads and price changes . Me and another coworker continue to do the order, paperwork, printing off first impressions sheets along with various other task that’s supposed to be a leads job. She is the one who gets paid to these task yet doesn’t. Should me and my coworker continue to do these task ?

Grocery Dept Team Leader Interview

I applied for and was recently invited to an in person interview for a Grocery Dept Team Leader position at a Meijer location in the Columbus OH metro area. I currently work for another grocer who is going through some restructuring in the near future and I am weighing my options now in order to not be blindsided down the road.

I've heard that the pay scale with Meijer is a bit lower for department leaders and wanted some opinions on how true this is. For discussion purposes I am currently a Grocery Team manager elsewhere and make just a hair under $30 an hour. Would I in all likelihood be looking at a big pay cut with Meijer? Do they give room for negotiation? This is one of several irons in the fire I have, but since Meijer doesn't list wages on their job posting I thought i'd seek out some answers here.

You do not belong in here, little dude

I'm not usually in the habit of doxxing myself, so if I told you about this in person today, no I didn't! But I found a little garter snake in HBC today! Poor guy was just on the tile floor struggling to get a good enough grip to move. Looking for face masks to combat the bad air quality, maybe? Sorry guy, we're sold out!

I picked it up and took it to the edge of the parking lot and let it go in grass. I'm so glad it was me that found it, and not someone who would have instinctively stomped on it or something. Truly made my day!

Deposit Dispute

Who do we contact if my payslip amount doesn't match my bank deposit amount? I've already called the bank and they said it's what Meijer sent.

Shame on you!!!

Meijer on Jackson road. Somebody went in the bathroom and had a blowout. They clearly got sick. The second you walk in the bathroom you smell nothing but doo-doo. Like somebody walked in there, dropped a load on the floor and walked out. Sorry you got sick, but that is so triphlin not to tell somebody so they can clean it up. Or clean it up yourself, you made the mess. So I told two of the employees and all they said was that the cleaning person leaves at 3. So there isn't anybody else to clean shit up(literally) after 3. What the heck. So I told the manager and she got a attitude, and another woman was just about to tell her the same thing, that the bathroom needed attention bad. Somebody put their pants in the toilet, got doo-doo on the floor and just left it. Smh. Nasty foul people, and extremely poor customer service. So disappointed.

Tuition Reimbursement

I just want to confirm my understanding of tuition reimbursement; I will be starting graduate school and am approved as long as I pass my classes for 2000 that will hit in December once the semester is over

However, Meijer advertises 5250 being the yearly limit but Ive read that applies after 2 years at Meijer am I correct? The difference for me would be substantial and would allow me to pay for 6/8 semesters versus 5 out of pocket

Thanks!
