Cape Verde’s players insta feeds after losing to Argentina

Words, stats, Articles and Internet won’t ever measure or do justice to the Messi aura. It’s what we are witnessing and how we will remember him forever.
The respect and love is earned through the way he has been all his life both on and off the field.
Very few players (across all sports I’m talking here) are revered and loved like he is, even by teams/fans/players that have lost to them. Her didn’t just win football. He won hearts and minds. ⚽️

Please MODS, kindly block and not give space to Messi mockers and haters here. This is a sub that should be a safe space for everything about our beloved GOAT Leo. The paid trolls, all out smear campaign against Messi all over social media is already unbearable as much as we tried to ignore it. TY!

The targeted smear campaign against Messi on twitter

Blatant lies and misleading claims about Messi are racking up hundreds of thousands of likes on Twitter, while replies using the same clips with frame-by-frame analysis, zoomed footage, and added context to debunk those claims are getting copyright struck while the original posts remain up. Bot driven engagement, fake quotes and anti Argentina propaganda is just getting out of hand.

How does the original misinformation stay up while the debunks get removed?

This is a clear paid campaign against Messi, where big accounts who don't even follow football are suddenly pushing Messi hate posts which are fabricated lies, they are not even hiding it anymore.

(Apparently a PR agency reached out to several major accounts offering paid campaigns to push anti Argentina narrative)

Meanwhile, Modric publicly called out the referee after Portugal vs Croatia, yet that has received a fraction of the attention compared to the narratives being pushed about Messi.

People need to calm down

Argentina did what Argentina do - win close games. Should Argentina be beating Cape Verde more comfortably? Yes absolutely. But Cape Verde just put on one of the most inspiring performances in World Cup history and scored one of the best goals you’ll ever seen in World Cup history. But Argentina did what Argentina always do, win close games.

People forget Argentina only had 1 comfortable game all tournament in 2022, Croatia, even Australia made it hard and Emi had to make a huge save at the end.

From today, every single game of Leo Messi could be the last. Thankful that we witnessed 2022 Qatar. Messi has won it all.
