I’m thinking this might be it for him. Even if there is baseball next year, I just don’t see a realistic scenario where he is ever healthy or beats out anyone for a roster spot

He’s solid and I love that he’s gotten out of having 2 runners on base for the first two innings, but our pitching coaches need to work with him (and our other starters tbh) on being more efficient. Being close to 50 pitches after 2 innings isn’t ideal. Rooting for him to finish strong but that’s his biggest issue!

He had only 137 At Bats this season
If there is a season and he is on the team…how many games would he realistically be expected to play?
Let’s say he plays 1 game/series…that means he is playing 54 games in the season…which isn’t amazing…but considering his inconsistent health…is that the only true option?

With news of Polanco being hurt and Marte DFA’d by the Royals, would it make sense for the Mets to pick up Starling Marte and use him exclusively in the DH spot for the remainder of the season? I don’t see a downside to this.

His contract expires at the end of the season so no long term commitment. His numbers this season are better than Polanco‘s at .242 2 HR, 14 RBI vs Jorge’s .148 2 HR 6 RBI. Plus it would be cool to see him at Citi Field again. What do you guys think?

Man who is this weird actress guest starring on the broadcast today abusing the radio team? Awkward.

i was at the padres game today at citi field sitting in the 517 section with some of my friends. i really wanted the bucket hat promotion they were giving out today, but just missed it as i saw them run out of hats. maybe around the 5th inning i was talking to my friends about how they just ran out of hats and how much i wanted one. the cleveland fan behind me very graciously gave me his hat saying i could have it! this was such a small random act of kindness i appreciated so much.

i was just laid off from my corporate job this afternoon with no warning. i was devastated. i still dragged myself to this game today because i already had the tickets for a while anyways. human kindness truly isn’t dead!

if cleveland guy sees this post, i’d love to repay the kindness and buy a coffee or drink for you. i know it was such a small act, but it really made me feel so much better! thank you so so much again, and #LGM 🧡💙

I'm glad the Mets have a day game today because at 7PM my TV will be on ESPN to watch the LLWS game between Bayonne and the team from Massachusetts

Torrens deserves to be on a better team.

The broadcast audio has been up and down the whole night, and the ads are twice as loud as the game audio. I haven't watched many Mets games this year, but is this a regular issue? I have to imagine if it was more people would be talking about it because of how obnoxious it is.

It’s been nice not having to worry about mark during his injury. I hope he plays 1 game before end of year hits three home runs and then goes to a new team he can kill it with. I just know having him Baty and Mauricio is just a recipe to hurt our team regardless of the pop.
If I can explain-
Alvy Torrens is a ying yang duo with crazy return
Baty- is a utility bench piece nothing more
Mauricio is a back up left side infielder until proven otherwise
Vientos- just takes away pt from people that are better at fielding and more consistent with a bat.
* side thought- it’s a matter of time. Before Soto will either DH a lot or maybe go to 1b to avoid injury especially during a big season where we are playoff caliber

We will either get a 1B in off season or train one of our own and the way young is playing why would we want to platoon Vientos it’s just messy

It’s going to be very hard to argue against Tatis being player of the game…dude is a beast
