Hi all, I've (17M) just moved in with my grandmother after finishing my leaving cert as I'm starting a new job in Carrigtwohill, I don't know anyone in midleton is there any clubs or ways to make friends I've never played sports so those kinda clubs wouldn't work for me just looking to make some friends of any age to be honest that I can go for a coffee with, thanks for any advice!

Anyone know the reason? Considering asking them if there’s going to be a price decrease for collection.

I’m looking for the most reliable and economical car for the next 5-8 years.
My main concerns are:
DSG gearbox reliability on the VW.
Hybrid battery life and repair costs on the Honda.
Parts and servicing availability around Cork/Midleton.
Insurance and maintenance costs.

Which would you choose and why? Especially if you’ve owned either in Ireland. Thanks!

I am carrying out some research that might be of interest to you all. I am a postgraduate researcher from Ireland, currently studying at the University of Glasgow and I am conducting research on how flooding impacts people’s lives, communities, and valued places in Midleton and East Cork.

To take part in this study, you must be aged 18 years or older and have lived in, worked in, or otherwise have experience of the impacts of flooding in Midleton and East Cork. The survey should take approximately 5–10 minutes to complete. All responses are anonymous and will be used for research purposes only.
