Am I the only one that got disappointed when I discovered that MC1 and MC2 have no real cars and no tuning?
I discovered Midnight Club when I was very little through Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition Remix. I personally never played the game back then because the game wasn't mine. But that cover art was engraved in my mind because it looked so cool the cars, the city skyline, and the logo. Years later, my older brother bought Midnight Club: Los Angeles Complete Edition for the Xbox 360 and everything was history. This is the Midnight Club I played the most and have the most fond memories with.
Years have passed and in 2024 I played MCLA again for the PS3 and then I started thinking: So I know that MC3 exists and MCLA, both games that have real cars and customization, but what about the games that came before it? I didn't know anything about what came before MC3 so I wanted to research it because I was finding the Midnight Club franchise fascinating and I wanted to play all of them.
Well later, I was reading through the MC3 Wikipedia, because I've just finished playing it on the emulator, and there was this text that said:
" This is the first in the series that has licensed cars."
When I read this I was really surprised and kinda disappointed like....are you telling me that MC1 and MC2 have fictional cars like GTA? And there's no customization? I'm not saying that MC1 and MC2 are bad games cause they don't have real cars, I actually think that both games are great....well mostly 2. But yeah, I was kinda disappointed to learn that Midnight Club started with fictional cars and no customization at all. Who else thinks the same?
