Should I grind general missions and craft to get every hero a good deck?

I am about to face down Venon in The Bell Tolls and have completed Deadpools 3 missions. So far my strategy has just been to get as much research requirements done as possible and as a result Hunter is set up pretty well and feels ready for upping the difficulty, but everyone else still uses mostly their starting decks and no passive. Its just been hard to take people more once I have their research unlocked but others havent and can struggle on missions. Looking for advice whether to make upgraded decks ASAP or should I be focusing a few characters by now?

What’s the worst mission and why is it Backdoor?

It’s not even difficult just a complete slog. It starts with 3 splitting enemies each with 800+ health. It’s just a matter of waiting around for them to split so their health pools get smaller you can finally dispatch them.

Then it’s another “survive against fallen hulk” which we literally just did. And it makes Hulk go from a scary threat in the story, to just an annoyance. And it’s even more just waiting around until the mission is over.

I’ve been sleeping on Iron Man

I’m NGL he was my least favorite character in the game for the longest time. I HATED the fact I couldn’t redraw his cards esp that damn hero combo.

Some never used him outside of being a Mark Target bot. Started using him some more and it finally clicked. He’s a damage machine (pardon the pun). You kind of have to play selfishly with him, which makes it hard to use him with Storm, CMarvel, or Venom.

I like pairing him with Nico. Empower for the heroism, and Blood Magic can give strengthen + draw one of his cards. He can also give her an easy 10 heroism Crack the Sky with New Plan (card that doubles heroism).

The writing,…

This is such a good game. I understand that it didn’t do well. I wonder if they had good writing if it would’ve been a smash hit like BG3. Book Club? Shop? A lot of the dialogue is just so boring and so painful.

Question about how DLC missions interact with new game plus.

I’ve been playing through midnight suns going for 100% trophies and have been having a blast, but I am slightly concerned about how the dlc missions work within new game plus. Do unlocked characters and associated quests stick around? Or would I have to beat the game again in new game plus to re unlock all the extra missions?

“The forces of nature conspire against you.”

This is like my favorite line from the game lol. I also love Storm’s interactions with Sin. Our queen putting that fascist Dracula simp in her place.

Sin: "Why bother protecting society's dregs? It is beneath your stature."
Storm: "Beneath me... all I see is you."

Magik Reinforcement

Did testing and thought it would summon more than one unit but, here’s a cool video of multiple reinforcement from Magik

I love the detail of Iron Man disliking the "Have a Drink" activity for his hangout since in the comics he is a recovered alchoholic. It truly shows how much the developers cared about the characters and the source material

Dracula Boss Fights on U3

Need some help with Dracula boss fights. Particularly the one with Spidey and Venom. He has the ability to attack twice, and if he attacks the same hero he basically one shots them. If I don’t use THWIP to stun him, he’ll just kill my team.

Not to mention the fact he can heal himself to near full by absorbing your bleeds!

Couple of questions before buying

I want to buy the game and have a few questions.

  1. I've watched a few Marvel movies and liked them, but I'm not that deep into it. Will I still be fine?

  2. Is the story good?

  3. Are multiple playthroughs worth it? I heard there are two playstyles, something like good or bad or something.

  4. Should I buy the DLC's right away?

New game plus suggestions

Hi!
I’m getting close to the end of my first run and really enjoyed the game. I want to try it again on a different alignment and much higher difficulty. There has been so much to keep track of, I wonder if anybody has suggestions for NG+ management at high difficulty?

Stuck in endgame

Hello!

I'm seeking help because Idk what to do. I play on ps5 and I'm stuck.

I just got to the final part of the story, the cutscene where Blade says "We're in endgame now". Then, I go the mirror table to go on another mission. I watch Wanda reconcile with Caretaker (I hate Caretaker btw).

After, I speak with Wanda. I seemingly have no other options to advance the story. The table is greyed out. I have no visible objective on the map either. Is this normal?

I admit, I barely explored the Abbey because I didn't like it very much, so maybe I'm at fault here. Essentially, I'm stuck. What am I supposed to do to keep playing?

I have a question for people who have played for a while

I have recently started to play midnight suns and I have a question, did the creators of this game ever say why barely any of the characters are actually members of the midnight sons. Im so confused because the only characters who were ever a part of the team before the game came out were strange, blade, and morbius

Extra content not available after buying Season Pass

Bought the game again as now I'm on a different console, got the Playstation version that's on sale & then bought the Season Pass separately, I'm playing through normally & thought it was curious that the extra costumes like Symbiote Spiderman weren't available from the get go & they had an icon next to them I never seen before? It wasn't until just now I opened up the costume option which turns out the icon is actually a currency called Midnight points. Never encountered it before but okay, it's fine, because it says that if you own the DLC then it should already be unlocked but my console says it has them installed &... I can't see anything to do with the DLC. If I remember right you get access to the Deadpool missions straight away? No sign of anything like that, it just looks like the base game

How would you do an Excalibur based expansion?

I think I discussed this vaguely once but I think Excalibur is the perfect fit for Midnight Suns if it had gotten a second season pass. Maybe with some villains like Jim Jaspers and the Fury working alongside HYDRA and Lilith… how would you do it?

The Missing Page!

Today I learned (after literal years) that when the bells chime at the beginning of a new day there will be an ladder in ‘The Chapel’ at the back of the Abbey that leads up into the bell tower. In the Belltower is a legendary chest, an Arcane key and, Low and freakin behold, that one Caretaker Journal page I have been looking for for years that has been stopping me from completing EVERY Abbey Mystery. I’ll update if it finally unlocks the final ‘Ancestral’ armor. Wish me luck.
