Bracelet or Strap? What do you think?
Bracelet: the most comfortable, but dressier/flashier than I typically roll. Strap: less comfy, but sportier…which is more my vibe. Would like the community’s input!

just love the dial of this watch! It’s big and chunky, but I just absolutely dig the way it looks. Took it out today for a nice root beer float on a hot day.
I have always had in mind to get this watch brand new (ref. M026.430.44.061.00) if I found a good deal. Now I can't see it anymore on the Mido official website.
Does anyone know if it has been discontinued?
Snagged this on Macy’s website last week. I’ve been wanting a dive watch (specifically the Ocean Star Tribute) for about two years now, and the same day as Prime Day, they had this beauty 44% off at Macy’s. I am so grateful!
Has anyone ever seen this color before? The warranty was legit when I filled the QR code out, I just hadn’t ever seen the blue and gold combo.
Thanks!
Sharing my grandfather's Mido that was given to me after he passed. Engraved on the back are his initials and date 1947. He was a scientist and worked in laboratories most of his career. Born in 1924 he would have been about 23 or so when he got it. I believe he lived in Boston at the time.
I don't know very much about the brand, but recently had the watch serviced by my trusted watch maker. It still keeps great time and I love to wear for any special family event.
Interested to hear any thoughts on the piece.
Thanks!
Absolutely loving this watch.
Honestly I thought I would like the black and blue transition colour better but after trying them on my hand, it’s easy to say that the abyss blue suits me much better! Gorgeous dial as always
Hey guys love my new Mido, I feel like my whole collection consists of metal bracelet watches and I feel like I should swap one out for a strap, should I do it on my Ocean Star 39?
Mido ocean star 39 on 7 inch wrist. I’m 6 3 and usually wear a 40mm no problem but I’m on the fence here. Beautiful watch otherwise
Brought myself a Mido TV Big date, on occasion of my Post Graduation.
Love the big date complication, the AR on Sapphire glass is crazy good.
Also have ordered the blue and orange rubber straps which I will be swapping for new looks every now and then.
First swiss watch, first bug occasion after saving for a long time as a student.
A few people asked me to post an update once the straps arrived, so here it is.
This is my Mido Multifort TV Big Date in rose gold, now tested on two Delugs straps: a navy smooth leather strap and a navy CTS rubber strap, both with rose-gold hardware.
The original rose-gold bracelet gives the watch the most impact. It feels like the “statement” version of the watch: bold, warm, and very distinctive.
The navy leather completely changes the personality. It makes the watch feel more elegant, more mature, and much easier to wear with a shirt or smart-casual outfit. The navy works really well with the dial, and the rose-gold buckle ties everything together nicely.
The navy rubber is a different vibe. More modern, more sporty, and probably the most comfortable daily option. It still feels premium thanks to the deployant clasp and the darker shade of blue, but it definitely makes the watch more casual and summer-friendly.
My current take:
- Original bracelet: strongest visual impact
- Navy leather: most elegant
- Navy rubber: best casual / daily / travel option
Honestly, I’m surprised by how versatile this watch becomes just by changing straps. I thought the bracelet would be the main look, but the leather and rubber both make a strong case.
Curious to hear what you think: bracelet, leather, or rubber?
I just got this and I'm loving it.
The first 2 pics are in the sun. The next one is to show the lume. The last one is in my office so it's indoor lighting.
I love the dial. I am adjusting to how light this is. I thought the tone would be more gray but it's bright.
I might get an extra link or two. It's more snug than I usually like. I can stick my finger completely under the band. I wear them loose in general.
Someone wanted these pics on a recent thread. I do love this watch. I like that it could go with anything. The finishing is superb. I could go on.
Planning to buy my wife this watch but don’t know if it’s worth it.
So I totally fucked it up, the crown must have been open or something while I washed my hands and my beloved mido instantly fogged up.
I am so pissed off that I did something rookie like this knowing fully well the importance of tight crown. I am gonna put this in a bag of silica gel desiccant shortly. But any advice is appreciated!
Salesman at the Tudor shop at first glance thought it was an Aquanaut. Sometimes I can’t help but stare.
Went to London for a weekend. I went in to Watches of Mayfair "for a look". Came out with this Beaut.
