female fronted midwest emo bands

i’m putting together a playlist that is specifically for female fronted bands and artists and i’m looking for some more suggestions.

i’ve really been loving venus & the flytraps, francis of delirium, pool kids and ok cowgirl. I realize these all might not specifically be midwest emo but are at least adjacent in my opinion.

if you have any recommendations, i’d love to hear them.

Disarmor - "Lost Discography" ft members of Saetia, You and I, Dads, The Assistant, In First Person, etc. Emo post-rock/jangle core

There's a newly discovered band called Disarmor that seems to include members from the bands mentioned above. I believe Scott from Dads is playing the guitar, Leigh from The Assistant is on the keyboard/the vox, and Tom from all of the other bands is on the drums. I couldn't piece who the fourth member of the group is or if she is from any other bands. I'm already in touch with the original poster, but if anyone else has more of their songs, please share them. Thanks!

Band/song reccomendations other else than Modern Baseball?

Hello! I'm new to reddit, and this year I've really been loving Modern Baseball songs. I'd love to listen to anything similar or something like my favorite songs from Modern Baseball.

Rock bottom, Charlie Black & Timmy Bowers, and Hope 👀

edit: Thanks a lot to everyone giving recommendations! And I loved listening to everything (Bands, songs, albums) y'all gave me to check out. Feel free to give more!

I can’t find that song anywhere

I know just the lyrics but I can’t find it. The lyrics are: I press the same 11 numbers just to hear you say goodbye
And he also screams sth about it’s just a bad habit of mine

My band just dropped our first song. any feedback?

https://linktr.ee/trentonlawnband

I don’t really know if it’s actually Midwest emo, there’s definitely elements of the genre in particular in the big bridge/build thing in the middle of the song as well as the fact that my vocals suck but it feels like it may match vibes with folks on this subreddit. either way I’d love some feedback. it’s out on all services as well as our bandcamp (The music that we’re gonna drop on our upcoming EP and later album are more Midwest emo-y dw)

Rougher Albums like Don’t Hate Fuck - Attic Abasement?

I’m looking for recs that are a little rough around the edges, have that demo feel to them. I fell in love with the album Don’t Hate Fuck in particular and am hoping for something along those lines, or even along the lines of You Can Play These Songs With Chords - Death Cab. doesn’t have to be acoustic. Any recs?

What makes midwest emo vocals sound "bad"?

I know it's a running joke/key factor of the genre (depending on who you ask), but maybe it's cause I'm not well versed in how vocals work or just crazy but it seems like a lot of the singers are still on key or at least close to the intended pitch of their songs when they sing.

Do you all think there's something specific about the tone of their singing that makes them sound "bad" to listeners specifically or is there maybe something else to it?.
