I bought this patch at a flea market but the seller knew nothing about it’s back ground. I couldn’t find much online but judging from what I see on the patch I believe it’s related to the Navy target missile, developed by McDonnell Douglas from the Russian MA-31 (AS-17 Krypton) missile for naval weapons testing and fleet training during the 1990s, launched from unmanned QF-4’s (?).
Cleaning out grandparents stuff. I knew he was in WW2 but this has me stumped!
All the Canadian ones are my own and the foreign ones I’ve gotten through trades while working with allied nations.
Anyone know what military badge this is?
I know my grand uncle was an airforce engineer and test pilot, so wondered if these have any significance
Republic of Singapore Air Force issued patch for Peace Carvin V, MH AFB, for wear on their version of the No.4 uniform. As an issued item, it is rarer than the more commonly seen full colored one on the second slide. Note the Crossed Swords Jolly Roger, a reference to the 428th fighter squadron "Buccaneers," as seen in the third slide, which forms the training component of PCV. PCV is one of multiple Singaporean detachments based in the CONUS, with PCV the one in charge of training pilots for the F15SG, a variant of the F15 Strike Eagle.
Wanted to share this patch tattoo with people I thought would appreciate it.
I included a few process photos because some of my previous tattoo posts got mistaken for AI. 😅 I’m a real person, and this is a real tattoo made by hand.
Hope you guys like it. Semper Fi. ⚓
My collection of mainly Naval Command, deployment, Rockers & LE patches. All of these were either issued or bought at a command by an active duty member at some point. A lot of these ships had long been decommissioned with some having service dating back to Vietnam, WWll, Desert Storm, etc.
Got them in a south Vietnamese patch lot on Ebay would want to know what they are.
My patches. Some of them real millitary some of them just airsoft fun but I love them 😃
