I recently tried buying MM2 godlies from someone on Instagram. Before making the trade, I asked if we could use a trusted middleman (MM) to keep both of us safe.

The seller refused and said they don't use middlemen because they have "a lot of proof." But proof doesn't automatically mean someone is trustworthy. Screenshots can be faked, and some people use their friends to leave fake vouches.

A couple of weeks ago, I got scammed out of 100 Robux because I was supposed to receive a Luger, but the seller took my Robux and never gave me the items. They had plenty of "proof," but it turned out they were using friends to make themselves look trustworthy.

Because of that experience, I told this seller there were only two options:

They go first, or

We use a trusted middleman.

They refused to use an MM, so I refused to risk my Robux again. I'd rather walk away from a trade than get scammed a second time.

To everyone: Be careful when cross-trading on Instagram. Not everyone is a scammer, but don't trust someone just because they have "proof." Proof can be faked.

Always use a trusted middleman or trade through a trusted community. If someone refuses to use an MM and insists you go first, that's a major red flag.

I'm not getting scammed again. I'd rather lose a trade than lose my Robux. Stay safe, everyone.

Not sure if I want to trade them just yet, but I do want to see what sorts of offers I'd get for my bats.
