Tamiya Marder III Sd.Kfz.139.

I wanted to get this one as its figures are pretty dynamic, if rather old by now. Had some fun playing with chipping fluid and gouache paints again. Except for some speckling with enamels, all weathering is done with gouache this time as I wanted a quick, fun build before my next project.

M60A2/120

When the Soviets attacked in '86, there weren't enough M1s in West Germany to stem the WARPAC tide, and the M60s were barely holding their own. In desperation, the USAREUR pulled the unsuccessful M60A2 from storage and mounted the new 120mm tank guns on them which were meant for the new M1 tanks.

A lot of firsts.

Recently retired, my sons bought me an airbrush, brushes, and paints to give me something to do in retirement. So I bought this 1/48 M3 Bradley at a reject shop, reduced to $2.00 AU, as a practice model. Lots of flash, not very accurate. Parts needed a lot of work to fit. Great fun!

1st model in over 50 years!

1st armored vehicle!

1st time airbrushing! (Made my own thinner and cleaner that worked great.). Cam was painted without masking.

1st time attempting oil wash and weathering! The Lackerband tracks weren't great (it came with an electric motor).

I was happy with the result but can see were I can improve..please let me know what you think and any critiques..

My first military miniature painting

A 3d
-printed Easy Eight model. It’s vey funny to implement that with some techniques I learned from painting Warhammer! I think NMM can also be used in painting tanks.

How is my WW 2 Russian green? Too pale?

I just sprayed my T-34, 50/50 mix of Tamiya Nato Green and Sky. It looks a little pale, but this is pre weathered. Should I add a darker coat?

Thank you!

About Painting models

So I've just finished my first Model of a Panzer II and I am really proud and immiedeatly want to buy a new kit but while the Tank looks really cool it's also only gray and I'm thinking is there a good way to paint it without an airbrush cuz those things are expensive asf or can I even paint it now that I have already assembled it?
