Is this good for someone who uses their entire left hand to type but only their index finger on their right hand?

I'm also trying to learn how to type with the entirety of my right hand, but that's gonna take some adjusting.

I built a new typing test, TypePace

Hey everyone, I’ve been building TypePace, a free typing test with WPM, accuracy tracking, progress stats, and certificates.

Would love for some of you to try it out and let me know what you think: https://typepace.com

I built a typing game for learning macOS keyboard navigation — looking for feedback

I’ve been building Duo Control, a small browser game for practicing macOS/Emacs-style keyboard navigation until it becomes muscle memory.

You can try it here: duoctrl.com

I’d especially appreciate feedback on:

  • Does the game make sense without explanation?
  • Does it actually feel useful?
  • What feels confusing, frustrating, or unnecessary?

Feel free to be critical — I’m trying to figure out what’s worth improving before I build much more.

One-Year Anniversary

I just learned that yesterday on August 10th was the one-year anniversary when I joined and started typing on Monkeytype for the first time.

Struggling with stamina on longer tests—how do I bridge the gap?

Hey typists,

I’ve hit a bit of a wall with endurance. My short burst speed feels great, but as soon as I move to longer tests, my WPM drops significantly and my accuracy slips. My hands and focus just seem to lose momentum halfway through.

For anyone who’s overcome this:

  • Should I force myself to stick to longer tests, or keep training burst speed and let endurance catch up?
  • Is this usually a pacing problem, finger fatigue, or a sign I'm pushing faster than my muscle memory allows?

Any tips or routine adjustments that helped you break through would be huge. Thanks!
