Need help diagnosing a misfire in a 2016 ram 1500 5.7l
I've got a 2016 ram 1500 5.7l v8, just got it knowing about the misfire. (Cylinder 6). It was a dead miss at all times, swapped plugs and coils, no difference. Pulled the rocker cover, found the intake valve barely moving. Sure enough it needed lifters and cams (intake lobe for cylinder 6 was completely worn off)
I replaced the camshaft, lifters, and mds solenoids (even pulled out the magnets underneath them to clean off the metal shavings) and I still have a misfire on cylinder 6 at idle. I pulled the rocker cover again and turned the engine by hand, and I can see the valves moving correctly, and the pushrods are in the correct place. I'm kind of at a loss at this point as to where to go from here. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Chrysler Nationals @ Carlisle?
It’s almost time. Who’s going? I’ll be arriving Thursday afternoon about 2pm. I’m somewhere in section Y (near the track) with modern Challengers. I know there’s always a few people from here that go.
Hey everyone happy 4th! Hoping someone can help me figure out some tire sizes lol
Okay so this is for 3rd generation dodge chargers, I'm looking to do a staggered look with tires on the skinnier side (not fat drag tires haha) to give it that classic aggressive muscle car stance, so trying to see examples of what tire sizes look like on these cars, thanks for any help folks! And happy 4th of july
20k? Yes or no
1972 cuda
Same owner since 89.
Parked it in 92, tore it all down, rebuilt 340 and auto tranny but never put back in car.
All parts to finish build.
Interior is sweet.
Has original wheels
Rear diff rebuilt, brakes and suspension rebuilt
Body is good.
Rust in trunk floor but that is all
All glass looks great
Original color blue, repaint in red that isn’t that great
What do yall think?
Barracuda, yes or no?
It’s a ‘74 360 Auto
Numbers matching, may have been repainted a long time ago, but it’s the original color.
Original besides paint what’s it worth?
Back story, this car sold from my grandfather’s dealership brand new to the current owner and they reached out to ask if we wanted it. (Me and my dad). He’s owned ‘70 hemi cuda’s, lots of rare stuff, but this isn’t our market any idea what this is worth? Zero rust, possibly painted, but no body work, 90% original car.
Radiator Recommendations?
Hey, folks. First time posting here. I got a 66 Valiant with a 225 Slant Six. Any recommendations on a new radiator? RockAuto doesn't have any and I'm finding options on Amazon or eBay but, to be honest, I don't know how best to vet them. I'm basically a back yard mechanic with an engineering degree but not so much practical experience.
318 harmonic balancer question
I have a 1986 Dodge D150 318. I just deleted the factory lean burn system and as I went to time it I ran into the problem of the timing mark on the harmonic balancer being way off. These are 2 piece harmonic balancers with an inner ring and an outer ring fused together by rubber. The only explanation for this is that the outer ring must have shifted on the inner ring. The internet is telling me that this is an existential threat and I need to stop driving it right now. I have a new harmonic balancer on the way and I can only assume that it has been like this for many years so I am not convinced that driving it an extra week before installing the new one is that big of a deal. It does NOT wobble at all while the engine is running. Can I keep driving? These are the best pics I could get sorry if they are bad.
Update: Seeking help with my dad's 69 Roadrunner. He recently passed away and we can't afford to fix or keep it.
Attached are pictures of how it looked when we got it and how it is now. The axel, suspension and body were sandblasted and primed. We have most major components and I believe they are all original. It doesn't have seats unfortunately. We have documentation and I can provide more pictures if requested. We are located in upstate SC.
My dad bought it in 2006. It was also the first car he bought with his savings when he was a young man. This was his dream car and his plan was to retire this year and begin restoring it in his free time. Now that he's gone, we can't afford to restore it ourselves so we're looking for someone that can take it off our hands for a reasonable price. It would also be amazing if someone can restore it and then allow us to ride in it once in memory of my dad.
Is the 1969 Super Bee the best-looking B-body Mopar ever built?
1970 Dodge Charger R/T
Rare F8 Dark Green Metallic with Lime Green stripe
1970 Plymouth Barracuda
Professional, ground-up restoration completed
Progress with new wheels
First picture is what I started with, second is with new wheels and lowered a little, and the last is roughly my end goal. I know a lot of people wont like all the decals but I want a "racecar"
74’ challenger
Currently has a 318 in it, but i have the original 360 in my garage ready to go
Ratty A-Body Mopars
The group a few of us started up together has reached 8,000 members.
Turns out, there's a whole ton of A-Bodies out there in the world getting used daily.
A ton of us are gearing up for Carlisle Chrysler Nationals. Anyone in here going to the show?
Deal of the year just happened.
Friend of mine just bought this 70 Barracuda off marketplace.
People were offering the owner up to 10 grand for the car but the owner let my friend have it for $3,500 since he was first in line.
Runs and drives. He just did a rolling burnout down his street to celebrate.
