Looking for other trios with saxophone like Ex Eye, Brain Tentacles etc

What it says on the title. I've been listening to Colin Stetson's album with Greg Fox and Trevor Dunn and I'm loving it. Any other recommendations along those lines? Preferably if the music is in that line between jazz, prog and heavy rock.

My small Mr bungle collection

Un earthed my copy of California, from storage year to 2 ago. I Bought California the day it came out summer after graduated High school. Don’t think it left my cd player all summer. self titled was in there as well, not sure where case is. Also lost my copy of disco volante, moving to SF 18yrs ago(lost few other FNM and Patton projects had on CD). Oh and my buddy’s jeep ate my copy of the raging wrath of the Easter bunny, that shit was so hard track down back in 97/98 in Maine. Anyway stopped by amoeba on my break today, to grab a copy on vinyl. Was one copy of self titled left and 3 of California, felt like had to get all three, trifecta. Threw my 2 shirts in the pic for some odd reason lol. Please post share Bungle collections.

Does anyone know a band were the singer sounds like minutes 2:50 - 2:58 and 3:03 - 3:12 of Dead Goon?

I've had those 2 parts of Dead Goon stuck in my head for days, and I want a band that sounds relatively close to Mike Patton's vocals on those parts.

PSA: Let's keep this sub on topic

In the past few days, we've seen quite a few posts not directly related to Mr. Bungle, some of which have been reported. Rightly so, in my opinion.

While we welcome discussions about each member and their side projects, some of those have their own, dedicated, and active communities. We're thinking of Faith No More and Mike Patton in particular.

We have therefore decided to add a new rule:

> 3. Post to the most relevant community, and be cautious when crossposting. > > In particular: > > * Faith No More content belongs in r/faithnomore > * Most non-Mr. Bungle Mike Patton content belongs in r/mikepatton

Let's face it, many of us are subscribed to all three subs. Blindly crossposting to all of them feels spammy, and others that may only follow r/mrbungle probably don't care for that content.

We know the line between on-topic and off-topic isn’t always clear cut. We don't intend to be jerks about it, and there will be some leniency.

If your post is removed, don't take it personally! Your contributions are still welcome, as long as they follow the rules.

We hope this clears things up a bit and will help our community continue to thrive.

Thank you

Your beloved mods

That Time I Saw Faith No More Play a Sold Out NYC Show Hours Before Appearing on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon

11 years ago, I finally got to see Faith No More live. It was quite a sight to see the band tear through fan-favorites while donned in all-white playing on a stage covered in flowers. Though an even funnier sight - a few short hours after seeing them play a sold out Webster Hall in NYC, I arrived home in time to see Mike Patton and gang play The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon (wearing the same white outfits admist a sea of flowers)... What a sight indeed...

Stay tuned for more things to come from this space, including stories from concerts like this!
