Well…I got it! (Miscut Fateful Discovery)

It’s mine! Precious!

I may have spent too much on it haha.

But! I didn’t realize until just now that this is this top post of all time on this subreddit! So hopefully that’s a good sign for future value 😅

Help me not feel buyers’ remorse? (For context: this is between 1-2 days of income for me, so not breaking the bank - hopefully the guy selling it needs the money more than I do)

Misprint or damaged?

Found this is a box of bulk I was sorting. Is this too much ink or a moldy card I should throw away?

First misprint ever

1994 Fallen Empires Spore Cloud — severe vertical off-center/miscut, front and back. MP/HP condition. Found in a bulk collection. First miscut I’ve owned. Curious how you’d classify it and whether it has any collector value.

I think this might be a good sub for my misprints. It looks like some fluid got on them.

Hello, i am looking for advice to value this misprint (or set). I got very lucky with pulling this, but i feel like someone else might appreciate the misprint more than me.

Stamp looks like a crescent moon

Hi. Has anyone seen this type of error before. I imagine it's not that desirable, but it looks interesting at the least.

Is this considered a misprint?

Got this card from the Hobbit set and there is a hair stuck between the card and the foil.

Hobbit Misprint

Pulled this from a collector booster, is this worth anything?

I’m betting this is just crooked enough to be both annoying AND worthless?

(But you all would know better than me)

misprint?

Hi everyone,

I bought this card specifically to use as an alter, but after receiving it and inspecting it more closely, I noticed some very unusual characteristics. Now I'm wondering whether this could possibly be a genuine misprint/miscut rather than a counterfeit.

The card shown in the photos is the darker version.

Some additional information:

  • The card does not transmit light at all when held against a light source.
  • Compared to another card from the same edition, this card is approximately 1.2 mm shorter and 1.2 mm wider.
  • When I place another card on top of it for comparison, the borders do not line up properly. Parts of the other card are exposed, while in other areas it appears that part of the card is missing.
  • The card weighs approximately 1.7 g, although I am not putting much emphasis on the weight because of the unusual dimensions.
  • I obviously have some suspicion that the card could be counterfeit. However, the T test and rosette pattern appear to be consistent with a genuine card.

Since I originally bought the card intentionally for an alter, I wasn't expecting to encounter something like this.

So I'm curious what people here think:

Could this potentially be a genuine printing error/misprint, or does the combination of these characteristics strongly suggest a fake?

I would really appreciate opinions from people who have experience with Revised/older MTG misprints and printing variations.

Thanks!

First miscut

It's nothing super crazy, but for how long I've been in and out of this game getting it on one of the cool season lands from the bundle was neat.

Cut too high, can't tell if the spot in the corner is assignment or just from the foiling

Is this considered damaged or misprint?

I pulled a foil arcane signet from the hobbit set and there's a small print line going all the way across the card above the middle text portion. I assume this is just considered damaged but I have little to no knowledge about these types of errors.

Are lines on back of cards valuable?

A decent chunk of cards in the Miku commander deck came with two horizontal lines on the backs of the cards (only one shows up on camera at a time). It's on the artifacts and non creature spells seemingly. Is it not worth any more if it's on the back of the card?

The Italian version of "Óin the Brave" has a different effect

In italian "Cautela" is Vigilance, while the English card has haste. Witch one is the correct one?

Legion Loyalist yellow

picked this bad boy up in japan for about 50 yen when i was in Japan at a Hareruya digging through their bulk bins. Not sure if it's worth anything and i don't even like goblins, but thought it was cool

First misprint, missing stamp. Any worth to this?

Pulled this a while ago but just realized it was missing the stamp.

Off centered colorless cost ?

This doesn’t seem normal to me but I am admittedly newer to magic. If the is is a misprint does it make it worth anything ?

Misprint O-Kadachi

I have a misprinted O-Kadachi that I've been holding onto for years. Curious what this community thinks and if it may be worth anything.
