67 RS - Numbers Matching Paint Swap

I have a 67’ RS Camaro, red exterior/ red interior, that needs to be repainted. The clear coat is cooked and there’s a few spot rust spots that need to be touched up. It’s a numbers matching car, but has been repainted 3 times before (4 total layers including factory). My dad wants to repaint it red to keep it factory (he sees it as an investment), but I want to paint it black and keep the red interior. It’s more of a sentimental car to me, so I never plan on selling it. I know that baby boomers and Gen X think that keeping a car numbers matching is gospel and it’s pretty frowned upon to change. Does anyone else have thoughts or advice on how to go about this?

1970 Chevy Chevelle SS 454

When Chevrolet released the LS6 V8 engine, the 1970 Chevelle SS 454 secured its place at the top of the American muscle car hierarchy

Heater fuse

67 firebird I just bought, heater keeps blowing 25 amp fuse after running for a little bit. Any advice on where to look first? New blower doesnt look expensive, should i just replace it? Would it be a terrible idea to try a 30 amp fuse? Thanks.

Mr. Norms 1970 Dodge Challenger TA with ALL the original paperwork (single owner)

I just inherited my dad’s 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A 340 Six Pack — Hemi Orange with the black vinyl top, 4-speed manual with the pistol grip shifter. Already a rare combo on its own (1 of 2,399 T/As ever built, 1 of 989 with the manual/pistol grip).

But the real find was what was still with the car: the original title, the cashier’s check from the sale, the bill of sale, the owner’s manual, his Mr. Norm’s Grand-Spaulding Dodge club card, the business card of the salesman who sold it to him, every insurance document, even his pay stub from Inland Steel — and an honest-to-god original Mr. Norm’s t-shirt, still folded up.

I can’t imagine many cars this old come with this much surviving paperwork. Feels less like inheriting a car and more like inheriting a time capsule.
Taking the whole “mini museum” to MCACN this November — can’t wait to share it.

Help me find my '65 Pontiac LeMans — last known location: Springfield, OR

Hi everyone. I'm trying to track down a 1965 Pontiac LeMans (GTO Clone) that I owned back in the early nineties. I sold it in 1992 to a man named Jerry Hooton in Oregon, who owned Fins Drive In in Springfield. I recently reached out to Jerry (before losing my Facebook), and he told me he'd sold it to a local guy whose name he couldn't remember. Around 2020, that same person came into Fins and mentioned he still had the car sitting in his garage, not driving it.

So somewhere in the Springfield/Lane County area, there's a charcoal grey '65 LeMans with a red interior and custom pinstriping, garaged and unused. It has a 398 bored over to 400, Edelbrock intake, Hooker headers, and dual 2" exhaust. It originally wore California plate 422 ZNH when I had it.

the only evidence I have are the photos I got from Jerry when he and I spoke in 2022. The photos are shot at Fins in the early nineties. The first photo is dated 6/16/94.

I would be interested in offering to buy back the car from the current owner, but mostly just want to know that it survived.

Any leads, even small ones, mean a lot. Thank you.

Charger

Hello everyone I’m about to purchase a 1970 charger with a stroker 440, and a 6 speed for 45k. Story with it is guy has had it since the early 2000s originally 318 car. Pretty clean and straight car, some minor rust spots in the usual spots. Is this a fair price?
