Stray :(

I found this guy a months and months ago and still think about him. He was just sitting outside my boyfriend’s house and was almost in heat exhaustion along with burrs stuck to his fur. But still well groomed, had a good weight and was extremely friendly. We drove around the entire neighborhood with him trying to find his owners. Knocked on a lot of doors but just couldn’t find his owners. He was still intact down there but we hoped he might be microchipped and had him scanned at a local vet. Again, no luck. Sadly my older dog has gotten aggressive in her older age and my boyfriend’s cat has incredible beef with every dog ever. So we left him at the city shelter hoping someone would come and get him. I checked his online status every day and no one ever came for him. My friend works with rescues and was attempting to get him into a foster home but was struggling since he didn’t work with that city. It really broke my heart to leave him, but I thought it was his best chance at being found. As soon as my friend found a way to get him out, got some placement and paperwork in place he called the shelter but they said he was already picked up by a local schnauzer rescue.

I was so happy and spent weeks looking for him online at every schnauzer rescue. I just wanted to know if he was okay. Never did find him… I’m not sure what happened, if what they said was even true… Surely the rescue would have posted him eventually… But I still think about him :( I named him Mr. Hobo because look at him. Does he just not scream Mr. Hobo??

Nui’s first time seeing fireworks. Grateful we were far enough away for him to not be spooked & understand where the noise was coming from.

I’m happy we could be in comfy & familiar place while we watched. He seemed to take it well, hopefully next time fireworks happen he will remember everything was okay!

He sat with me the whole time, and now he’s getting treats and playtime (:

Happy 4th of July, Friends! Echo here. We lost power at my house last night in a storm on a super hot day. As soon as the power came back on a few minutes ago, I ran right to my favorite spot immediately! 2 bowls of water and a vent is just what I needed. Enjoy your Holiday!

Anyone else's mutt have a Seal Coat / Ghost Coat?

Seems like our puppy is going to have a Seal Coat coloration. He barely had some hints of brown when we picked him up at 10 weeks old, and chalked it up to puppy coat. In the four or five weeks since, he's only getting light and lighter around his shoulders and flanks.

Seems like it should be a pretty cool effect when he is fully grown.

Help with digging

These 2 have just gotten out of control on digging up yeard. It has taken 50 bags of top soil so far and counting to fill in holes this year. I just took down our trampoline because my daughter quite using it. I have a probably 1,000 sq. Feet yard. Its 6 panels wide by 13 panels long i think. white vinel fence. I have chosen to make a digging area for them where the trampoline was. Have any of you found any success with this? If so pelase offer tips. The black dog is vader, he is a mix of pure husky and a mutt whose breed keeps changing every time i ask. Im guessing german sheperd with something. He is 50 pounds. The browm dog is fang. He is a mix of pitt boxer and supposedly great dane. He is i think around 60 pounds. They are both around 6 years old. They've been together since fang was a year or 6 months, and vader was a puppy. Both are unfixed, that is not changing.

Remembering Our Mutts

Last year was one of the hardest years we’ve ever faced. We lost three dogs within the span of a year.
Tonkah and Benny were seniors, so we knew their time with us was limited, but that didn’t make saying goodbye any easier. Our sweet Bella was taken from us far too soon in a dog attack, and losing her so unexpectedly broke our hearts.
They were more than pets—they were family, loyal companions, and some of the greatest loves of our lives. The house feels different without them, but the memories they gave us will stay with us forever.
❤️ Tonkah – Saint Bernard Mix
❤️ Bella – Hound Mix
❤️ Benny – Yellow Lab Mix
They may no longer be by our side, but they will always be in our hearts.

Roxy being a snuggly baby

woke up cuddling her this morning (it's winter here in the southern hemisphere don't worry, she's not in danger of overheating)

My "maltipoo" is turning 4 in July!! 🤍🐕

He's actually a street chihuahua mixed with shih tzu and pomeranian! Also, he loves hoarding socks, silently judging people, and frolicking in bushes.
