Left MyQ for Meross. Thank you all

Lift master 8500w. Bought the Meross with Apple Home and you will need the programmer. It was super easy to set up despite looking very intimidating. The directions were a little difficult to follow but my instillation time was 30 minutes minus the time it took to staple the wiring.

Good things to know: if you want to have a second device add the door to their Apple home you need the HomePod mini or bigger.

I made the switch because I got a new router that totally bricked the MyQ functionality.

myQ app down?

Edit 2: app is back online

Anyone else having problems with the app not connecting? It loads and loads until it says connection failure, repeat. Tried on and off wifi with data. The garage door worked yesterday.

Edit: tried with 3 other family members, they all can’t connect.

New App Frustrating

I’ve been using MyQ for years. Have loved the features, and one in particular.

My wife often leaves the garage door open by accident. So getting alerts when it’s been open for a specified amount of time has been a lifesaver for me. When I get the alert after the door has been open for say,10 minutes, I can close it remotely.

But the app updated a while ago, and that functionality is gone. Yes, I can set a reminder and it will let me know if it’s been open for 10 minutes. But it also notifies me every time the garage door is opened. That makes it effectively unusable because I get about 30 notifications a day.

I just spent 30 minutes on the phone with customer support and they just told me it’s no longer an option. Why would you change a functionality like that in the new app? This seems like something that should be fixed and could be done very easily.

Anyone else been frustrated by this?

Garage door opened without me activating it!

My power went out last week and I needed to reconnect MyQ garage door and external keypad/ camera.
Yesterday and today, the garage door opened automatically. I did get a notification but when I looked on the app at activity, no video showed up like every other time my garage opens.

Any clue why this is happening? TIA

myQ App Issues - Let Chamberlain Know!

The Chamberlain myQ app seriously needs a redesign. Trying to set or view auto‑close schedules feels like navigating a maze — nothing is intuitive, and basic functions are buried behind confusing menus.

But the worst part is the constant advertising. I paid hundreds for the opener, yet the home screen is filled with upsells for Chamberlain accessories. Sometimes you even have to scroll just to reach the “Open/Close” button. That’s ridiculous for an app whose main purpose is to operate a garage door.

If Chamberlain wants to advertise, fine — put it on a separate tab. The landing page should be clean, simple, and focused on safety and control. Judging by the number of complaints online, I’m far from the only one fed up with this.

Stopping Marketing Notifications to iPhone and Watch?

I started receiving daily push notifications to my phone and watch from MyQ and can't find any place to stop these -- other than completely turning off notifications in the phone's settings, which I've done. Any ideas?

MyQ Community guest pass failure - and they know it’s not working!

When trying to set up a guest pass you get a Opps! Something went wrong. Called tech support and they said it’s a known issue. Yet there is no communication no assistance on the app.
I would expect more from a company this size. This is some Mom and Pop BS
If you have a know issue then give me an error message that tell me this. Not just an Oops! As this makes you think perhaps I made an error so now I will try this another 5 times☹️

MyQ Commercial

Does anyone else use MyQ Commercial? We were originally at $25 and now we are being informed we will be at $180 a month with no increase in features or use. Is this the pricing across the board? We're having our gate removed. We only have one with less than 20 users and they want $180 a month.

Subscription Plan Discount?

Does myQ ever offer discounts in their subscription plans? I waited for Prime Day to see if they would offer a subscription discount for their comprehensive plan (reg $149 annually) but it seems like they are not interested in that. I wonder if they do something in Black Friday. I have a couple of cameras that would benefit from this but I balk at the $149 price point. Especially since at least for me the app is slow, crashes frequently and the response with the videos is not the greatest.
