Lupe is on something

I seriously dont understand why lupe has been so inflammatory towards his fellow lyrcists. The kendrick shit i get, he's been getting asked about his opinions on the dude in basically every interview its okay to be bitter at that point, but the context for this doesnt even save him. He said this in a conversation about lyrcism and punchline rappers vs non punchline rappers, and then a fan brought up nas as an example of an elite lyrcist who isnt a punchline rapper, in which this was his response.

Edit: do wanna add, after research he has also been on record giving props to nas and saying he's on of his favourite rappers, just makes this statement even more confusing.

Watch Dem Niggas

Lyricism. Bars. Storytelling. Flow. Cadence. Content. Vulnerability. It also has that element that Jeru The Damaja has often spoken about when it comes to emceeing, mic rocking (style). For me, the best joint on It Was Written from a mic performance standpoint.

How much % does Nas success is owed to Steve Stoute looking back at the 30th anniversary of It Was Written?

Nas early on had success with Illmatic with the help of Mc Serch, Premo, Large Professor, QTip and many others. But by the time Nas went to his sophomore album IWW, it seemed like Nas became an international mainstream commercial rapper with singles like “If I Ruled the World.”

The story of Nas meeting Steve Stoute was that Steve was trying to find Nas in Queensbridge and Steve end up eventually meeting Nas. Steve Stoute changed Nas image, hooked him up with the Trackmasters and helped Nas become more mainstream in the music industry.

Does Steve Stoute get enough credit for helping Nas popularity and how much credit does Steve Stoute deserve for helping Nas success? I want to know from Nas fans perspective, leave your thoughts on this

Got my first ever Nas vinyl today

So I'm on holiday and went to a record store to get some stuff. And I found these. KD3 means a lot to me since it was my second Nas album, only after Illmatic. Saw lots of other cool vinyls and CDs there. Really hyped to play it on the record player when I get back home.
