So imma be joining this year (btech). Just had a few questions if a senior could answer.

1. How's the hostels? Is it double/triple sharing for first year? And what about the next 3 years, do we get single room? And how's the washroom situation, does it have western toilets asw? And can we pick roommates?

2. How's classes, like how hectic is it? Is there a dress code, and can we bring laptops? If yes, are there charging ports in class?

3. What about the mess and curfew, is it any good

I know both courses are different but I just want good placements that's it. Please help.

So I got 20k(male ews)rank in JEE mains, in Josaa as of now by second round I am getting iiit Kanchipuram CSE. In csab I'm also getting we NIT Nagpur EEE and NIT Warangal mechanical.

I don't know what branch or what college I am taking but I am having this thought that maybe having a greater college tag by the time I graduate that is 2030 would help me a lot as ai would take over the coding things and will be there only two orchestra a lot of the work

Should I consider NIT Warangal mechanical or VNIT Nagpur eee over this to iiit Kanchipuram CS

Please share your thoughts for your struggling junior so that he can be she can join the best college he can

I’m way interested in a tech job and coding and really prioritise college life events and liveliness of the campus.. I’ve heard warangal has best coding culture which I want but Calicuts best campus life as in events and all also cannot be sacrificed 😭

How are the girls hostels and the computer department? I've heard the hostels are horrible and washrooms are being renovated. Is that true

Is there any whatsapp or insta grp for new Mtech joinees into NITW? I found a btech grp but couldn't find the Mtech one

And I read so many bad comments abt the washrooms in the hostel, is it really True? 😭

I am confused about these two colleges idk what to choose as mostly i will do tech job or something related to tech but nit Warangal has that brand peer group but iiit dm has that coding culture environment

So I am genuinely confused like i thought to take chemical and then take minors in cs but like it would be very hectic I feel and would not get as good placements as iiit dm so I am confused on what to choose brand or branch

I have secured nit w mtech csis seat in round 3 of ccmt and will be applying for special rounds as well and I might be getting nitw cse or nit k cse, I just had doubts which one to prefer more coz I heard nit w cse placements are good or at par with surathkal placements but nit w college life is not that great, also if thats the case why cutoff for nit w mtech cse is higher than surathkal????

Can any seniors help me out??

So basically i got alloted ece vlsi in nitw, might get ece later on. I have two options open; 1.VLSI, working in companies like nvidia intel qualcomm etc. For that ece-vlsi aligns very well.

2. Tech. Do ece-vlsi students get same opportunity as ece students? If so, is ece-vlsi more draining and hard? Like hard to maintain cgpa and to code side by side?

Also, if I wanna go into stuff like instrumentation, avionics, biotechnology later on (prolly wont, but an if scenario), will ece-vlsi work?

Any ece/ece-vlsi senior please help 🙏
