Query regarding saturdays
Are all Saturdays working? I've heard people say they are and others say it's alternate Saturdays.
Would appreciate some clarity.

A lot of freshers have been asking about the attendance scene at NMIMS, and I need to be completely straight with you—it is incredibly strict. You need exactly 80% by hook or by crook, and there is absolutely zero room for negotiation. Forget about getting leaves approved for family functions, and honestly, getting a sick leave approved is near impossible unless you are literally on your deathbed. They don't care if you end up at 75% or if you have a genuine excuse; they will not adjust it. If you are even one single lecture short of that 80% mark, you simply won't be allowed to sit for your exams.
Because they are this ruthless, you have to calculate your safety margin from day one. You need to figure out exactly how many classes you can afford to miss per subject in a semester. For example, a 4-credit course usually has 60 lectures, meaning you have to attend 48 and can only miss 12. For a 2-credit course with 30 lectures, you can only afford to miss 6. Keep these exact numbers in your head from the very start of the semester and track every single miss, otherwise you are going to get into serious trouble at the end of the term.
In orientation registration form for bcom mumbai campus. Do we have to put the pg name or what?
Hey, I am a pcb student , can I get into bba (ipm program or any specialization) without maths? (asking for next year)
i need to find a pg but they are very costly.Which would be cheaper a pg or a sharing flat( i would love private room) Secondly can someone please add me to the nmims navi mumbai freshers group.
can we wear anything like casuals formals or anyth in particular?
Will this mean that the orientation will be postpone or not???
This is exactly what I was talking about in my last post. Take a look at the attached screenshot from a page called commmun.mumbai. They post stories claiming "2 beds left" or "last day to book online" and say Juhu will look like a fish market tomorrow. This is textbook fake scarcity designed to create massive FOMO, especially for outstation students who don't know the ground reality of Mumbai. If you aren't in the city yet, seeing this makes you panic and think you'll be left homeless, pushing you to blindly transfer a booking amount without even seeing the place.
Please do not fall for this trap. The inventory data is completely manipulated just to pressure you into paying a non-refundable deposit for a place that might turn out to be absolute trash. There are always accommodations available, so don't let a fake countdown dictate your living situation for the next year. Wait until you get here, physically visit the PGs, and don't book in a hurry. We really need to boycott agencies like this that use these predatory tactics to scam anxious freshers. Stay safe, be smart, and protect your money!
