The thing about this expedition is...

Most of us are less than happy about it, so....

#WE SHOULD START A SWARM CULT

Let's welcome our new overlords, stage a coup d'etat on The Anomaly, claim the Prismatic Core as our own, allow The Void Mother to take over Nada's physical form, and lead us into a new age,... an age of glass!

True believers of all factions are welcome!

Those Nexus residents who submit can remain and go about their business as usual.

Those who refuse shall be put to the multi-tool and we shall build Her a throne from their rotting husks!

##Who's with me?

🏭 Obrigado Jaspion // Homenagem Especial

New player looking for someone to play with and teach me the game!

Hi everyone!

I just bought No Man's Sky and I've been playing for about 2–3 hours. I'm really enjoying it so far, but there are so many mechanics and systems that I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed.

I'm looking for someone who's experienced and wouldn't mind playing with me and helping me learn the game. I'd love to understand things like exploration, base building, upgrades, trading, and whatever else you think a new player should know.

I'm a quick learner and just want to have fun while getting better at the game. If anyone is interested, let me know or send me a DM!

Thanks, and see you among the stars! 🚀

📂 PROJETO LEGADO // MDK-01 — Lynx Highliner

Status do Projeto:

✔ Concluído

Space Station & Star System Ownership and Management!

I post this idea once every few months in an effort to get people talking about and spreading it, with the goal of drawing the attention of Sean and the crew at HG to maybe, just maybe make it happen. It's a bit long but, I hope worth your time to read and leave a comment.

Space Station & Star System Ownership and Management! :)

The ability to take ownership of and manage our own space station in an abandoned system and further, to restore the abandoned star system to an inhabited and lively one. 1 station/system per galaxy, per player. It's not like there's a shortage of them. :P

First, we have to find an abandoned system and then, if we accept it, we have a long, long, and resource expensive road to both rebuilding the space station and eventually, rebuilding/repopulating the entire system.

The space station is just the first step. Taking custody of the station to begin refurbing it, unlocks access to all new plans for parts you'll have to fabricate to rebuild/refurb the station. Once the station is complete, you unlock plans and the ability to begin planetary rebuilding/repopulation.

To refurb a planet, you have to construct/restore 1 of each building type typically found on every planet. 1 Archive, 1 Trading Outpost, 1 Minor Settlement, 1 Observatory, 1 Transmission Tower, 1 Manufacturing Facility, 1 Communications Tower, 1 Shelter Camp ( I think that covers them all). When complete, that planet will automatically start generating more of each and become populated with appropriate NPCs as well as unlock settlements on that planet.

As the entire system improves, the number of each of these things increases in availability on each completed planet. Only finished 1 planet in your system? Then only that planet has any of these facilities available and they are far and few between. Finished rebuilding the entire system? Throw a rock and find a facility. You get the picture. This process must be done for each individual planet to completely restore the system.

To save a little time, you can begin working on buildings on all planets simultaneously (if you have the resources that is) but, only 1 building can be built/worked on at a time, on each planet and only after 1 is complete can another be started on that planet. Of course, to build/complete any new piece of a build project, there is a time component too. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Basically, the settlement system is scaled up in complexity and scope to cover an entire star system. But, all of that really just speaks to Ownership. Where's the 'Management' come in?

Easy, anything that can be built, can also be destroyed and since Pirates are a thing in NMS, random pirate attacks can happen anywhere in your system, prompting a communications message to you, giving you an opportunity to warp on over and defend the affected location, to prevent any damage or, at least reduce the damage and recovery/rebuilding costs.

Of course, as you're just starting out in this new system, it's conflict level will be the highest and it's economy will be the lowest but, as you continue to successfully fight off the Pirate hoards and rebuild the system, the economy improves and the conflict level decreases. Eventually, you could improve the system to a 3 star economy and conflict level of 1 but, despite Pirate attacks decreasing in frequency the better the system becomes, they never completely stop so, stay away to long, ignoring those cries for help and eventually, your system could fall back into complete ruin and abandonment.

But, build and maintain a high value, low conflict system and the units and nanites just keep coming in. I know, I know, it's not like it's hard to come by either units or nanites in the game as is but, this would be another, more immersive way to go about obtaining them both.

How long until 100%?

My expectations for the Expedition were probably too high. I’m enjoying the game, but during the Expedition I honestly don’t even feel like playing my main character. I just log in, do the same 3 missions over and over, they take less than 10 minutes, and then I’m done… I usually end up switching to another game straight after. 🫩 When is the Prismatic Core going to reach 100%?
(Just Picturing my expectations😜)

Question About Scanning Animals

Hey gang, kind of a weird one.

I'm a weirdo and I cannot leave a planet until I have scanned all the animals to claim the nanite bonus

Usually there is one animal (underwater, underground) that takes a bit longer to find. No biggie.

However, a couple of days ago, I was on a planet scanning away as usual. I take a while to find the final animal. I want to emphasize I am 100% sure I only needed one animal to complete the planet bc I had triple checked on this.

Anyway, I find the last animal (a mainly diurnal flying uncommon), scan it, all good. Then I see some buried tech close by so I go over there. Then I find a few other resource deposits etc.

Finally I get around to uploading the last animal discovery, but it hasn't registered, as in my discovery page says I still haven't found the last animal. No worries I think, I'll simply find and scan another of the flying guys. Except now it's like they are GONE. I spent hours looking. Finally I give up and go to another planet for some resources etc.

I get to that planet. There are 6 animals I need to scan. I find 5 of them almost immediately. Last one remaining is an uncommon mainly diurnal flyer. I again spend hours but to no avail. I'm stumped. I feel like this is a bug but I have no way of knowing.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so how did you resolve it?

For reference, I restarted the game, restarted my ps5.

Inventory management

Am I overlooking where the broken down ship parts can be stored or is your freighter inventory the only option? Thinking a separate storage like ingredients or cold storage.
