Dead City

Wassup NMS fans... I am currently in the middle of building a city of my own, been a long time dream of mine since getting the game.(I only have 200 hours in the game) but who gives a shii about that.

I am building a Dead City on a Dead Planet, you can see the planet hologram behind me as city's first of main attractions. The coords are in all the images... might be cool if you guys would like to visit and see it progress.

Thanks all of you. Love this game with all my heartw

HG, Please Revert/Redo The Portal Entry Effect

Prior to some update long past, the static portal effect (after the energetic activation effect) was much more visually appealing, with a shimmering, multicolored, ethereal, slightly translucent quality. Similar to, but not exactly the same as the base teleporter. It looked inviting, like something you would want to walk into/through.

Now, the effect looks much more like a slimy, writhing, gelatinous mass, that certainly doesn't visually entice one to enter. In fact, I'd argue visually, it suggests you should pinch your nose closed and hold your breath before approaching. But, since we're wearing an Exo-suit, instead you should have a new Exo-suit on hand before entering. That way, you can swap out on the other side and burn the old one because, you won't be getting rid of that mess with anything less than fire. 😋

With most everything else in the game so visually stunning, it's kind of a letdown that one of the more exciting things one gets to do (stepping into a portal) is now, at least in my opinion, also one of the least visually appealing. If you are inclined to update the effect, maybe shoot for something like a shimmering, rippling, metallic liquid/water effect. More akin to the effect seen in that other famous portal were all sure yours was inspired by. (Hint, hint. Wink, wink. Nudge, nudge.) 😉

I just spent 3 hours in No Man’s Sky with my Dream Air. Chef’s Kiss

I just wanted to express appreciation for this experience that is only made possible because VR is maturing and finally getting really really good. I have had a dozen or so different VR headsets at this point and some were pretty comfortable. The Dream Air is the first headset I have ever worn for 3 hours without any discomfort.

I am currently using the studioform kit and a $20 quest 3 strap that I cut to fit the Dream Air soft strap connectors. This setup allows me to just keep playing for hours longer than I used to. The only reason I stopped was because it was time for bed.

The second thing I want to express appreciation for is No Man’s Sky. I don’t know if there is another company that has brought a flat screen game to be fully playable in VR and just as easy to play as it is in pancake mode. Also with multiplayer where you can play with and invite friends or meet up with strangers inside the game at the “Anomaly.”

I decided today to finally get what I need to visit purple star systems. This is after 60 hours of playing the game on and off throughout the years without actually advancing the story at all. I got everything I need now so next session I can look for planets with deep oceans, gas giants, and other interesting planets I haven’t seen yet. This game has come so far since I first played it in VR and I am excited that there is another big update coming. The amount of freedom you get to explore is insane.

The Dream Air really makes NMS a complete jaw dropper. I was never able to run NMS at max graphics and full resolution on really any headset. Now that the Dream Air has the SBOYS3 driver with FOV Cropping and SteamVR native Motion Smoothing to lock my frames at 45, I can finally max out the graphics and the resolution. The results are stunning to say the least. Just watching the sunset on the one planet today with the sharpness and colors really made my day.

Hardware:
5090
9800x3d
64gb ram
Dream Air LH
2 base stations 2.0

MS-03 Red Raptor — Blueprints | Estaleiro MDK-01

28 Colossal Stone Effigies found on a single Planet (Titanfall) They need base builders to show them love

🚨 No Man’s Sky Discovery! 🚨

I’ve documented 28 Colossal Stone Effigies on a SINGLE planet 🤯

🌌 Galaxy: Rewmanawa

🗿 Total documented: 28

🌍 Locations span from +82.80 to -87.07 latitude, covering a huge portion of the planet.

Here are all 28 coordinates:

  1. +46.15, +95.71

  2. +49.25, +87.31

  3. +41.88, +168.19

  4. +41.65, +170.65

  5. +32.35, -32.53

  6. +35.68, +21.02

  7. +34.43, +39.60

  8. +37.05, -7.92

  9. -31.81, -53.35

  11. -40.90, +164.85

  12. -41.31, -109.21

  13. -58.16, -157.85

  14. +37.04, -22.50

  15. +44.13, -129.23

  16. +39.09, -151.23

  17. +42.15, +171.46

  18. +37.38, -8.53

  19. +34.52, -112.29

  20. +35.31, -156.43

  21. +45.55, -96.44

  22. +44.01, -97.49

  23. +55.25, -156.68

  24. -87.07, -140.96

  25. -51.56, +33.30

  26. +82.80, -9.94

  27. -44.19, -57.21

  28. -35.74, +155.40

I’m not claiming this is a record — I’m putting the discovery and evidence out there for the NMS community to see.

If anyone has documented more Colossal Stone Effigies on a single planet, I’d genuinely love to hear about it.

🚀 MS-03 RED RAPTOR // STRIKE SERIES

A Red Raptor finalmente saiu do estaleiro.

This one update would change everything: story builder tool

No Man's Sky is an amazing game. But I think it's a lost opportunity.

Instead of just a game, it could be a platform for space stories.

The update I would like the most to see is a story builder tool. With it, anyone could create missions, quests, NPCs and in-game cutscenes, and release to the public, which then could browse, vote and rank them for easy access.

Just imagine it. People would create all sorts of space stories inside it. That would make No Man's Sky an infinite experience.
