Flood Sticky 2026

The substantial rainfall has sent us into a flood emergency for Noblesville and Hamilton County. As of this AM August 14, 2026 we have reached top 10 historic water levels and it is expected to continue to rise. Sandbags are available at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds for free.

Use this post to share volunteer groups, ask for help, warnings for specific areas and closures. Stay safe friends and help your neighbors as much as possible.

Pics taken around noon on 8/14 at downtown rail bridge/river trail.

North Side public wall for volleyball practice

This is a super niche question, but I'm trying to find a public area, in like a park or something, that I can hit a volleyball against every day. I've been using the tennis court wall at Forest Park in Noblesville, but the wall kind of sucks and isn't always available. Ideally somewhere outside with a brick/concrete/wood wall that isn't on grass would be amazing. I'm open to whatever spots/ideas you can think of. I'm in Noblesville. So something relatively close to that area would be fantastic. The less busy, the better. Thanks!

I don't have access to an indoor gym regularly at the moment, or I'd just do that. Just before someone recommends that. If you know of a free one though, let me know!

Beware of scams

I'm sharing my embarrassing story of being scammed in hopes of warning others.

Just got a call from someone claiming to be with the Sherriff's department, telling me that I missed jury duty and needed to lift any claims by paying the department. These people know very personal information and will try to intimidate you- DO NOT FALL FOR IT LIKE I DID. Lost a week's pay in under an hour because of these degenerates.
