Suda51 says that No More Heroes 1's Santa Destroy is based on San Diego

I always wondered why Santa Destroy reminded me so much of San Diego. Turns out that it's based on San Diego, at least partially, as the background staff went there to check it out for NMH1.

The architecture, the general vibe/feeling, the Mexican border and the beach, the Gaslamp quarter, the giant baseball stadium, the shops and locations, the restaurants and suburban areas, all the empty parking lots and desolate spots. It's probably really obvious to a lot of people but getting confirmation is cool since I'm San Diegan. I've heard people say that it's based on San Francisco, Los Angeles, and other places before.

No more heroes 3 GOG version is the Microsoft szőre version?

There was 2 version on PC. The steam version was the Nintendo switch port and the Microsoft store was the Ps5 version.

May anyone tried the gog version?

Been playing no more heroes 2 and I honestly didn’t really like shinobu’s sections mainly because of the jumping(it feels kinda janky)

Just beat Margaret for the first time and I gotta say is WHY THE FUCK IS THE FIRST PART OF HER STAGE SO FUCKING LONG JESUS CHRIST I THOUGHT MY GAME WAS GLITCHING

Hey at least we got to have a fun boss fight with a memorable song

What would you say are some of the best and worst aspects of no more heroes 1 & 2?

Only really bring up 1 & 2 cuz I haven’t played Travis strikes again or nmh3

I think one of my gripes with 1 is how tedious it feels to travel around and how the side jobs aren’t really as fun in nmh2. I do like how you can just change beam katanas in the middle of the fight in the second game though

T-shirt worth?

A year ago I got this shirt from a market for $2 as it is in bad condition, I thought it was a cute shirt, I fear I know nothing about this fandom and it’s been sitting in my drawers, I want to sell it but I’m seeing things online saying it’s rare and I’m not sure if that true or not, if I could get more information that would be great 😅

Replace Travis Touchdown with Yu Narukami from Persona as the series protagonist, what changes?

Their overall goals and relationships stay the same and Yu's age has been bumped up both for the sack of this hypothetical.

TSA - Can you get "Continue or Die" achievement on NG+?

Recently started playing this game with a friend (we're loving it), but found out too late that there is an achievement for not using any continues. We used our first one in the 2nd level since my friend died to the instakill-head and I immediately afterwards got flung into the guy due to an explosion (lol).

Because of that, I wanted to know if you can retry for this achievement on the NG+ run or if it is hard locked out the moment your initial save has a continue. If not, I could just do a new save Sweet mode, but seems a bit unfun (plus I think an all achievements run is gonna require a lot of grinding in general).

EDIT: Did some more searching outside of the steam page and found a post where someone said they got the achievement in NG+, so I it sounds like you can?

Is there any safe mod or cheat to bypass the boring money farm and gym in NMH 2?

I really liked the game but man, the minigames to farm money and the gym are fucking terrible, I might give up on playing this if I have to play this trash after every boss, it's so much worse than NMH 1...
