Lineageos improvements?

Trying to figure out what's changed or if this is just in my head.

For some reason i prefer the screen colors on the lg v60 over note 20 ultra and some of the newer flagships.

I stopped using my lg v60 for about 2 years because i was having issues with the usb charging.

Previously i thought the screen was inferior to the note 20 ultra and other devices with superior screen resolution.

However, i wanted to upgrade again, but it seems like all the newer devices are downgrades in many aspects and way overpriced.

After installing Lineageos, it seems like the colors on the lgv60 and the viewing experience is much better imho.

Also feel like the phone is just as fast in my practical use as some of my newer phones.

Whats going on here?

Question about my new Note20 Ultra.

I have recently had an exhausting time replacing my lost Samsung device. I had an S20 Ultra, which did well for 2.5 years. When I realized it was gone, I headed to eBay to purchase another older model as I've successfully done in the past. Unfortunately this time around, I didn't fare so well. The first one was immediately flagged by an independant Samsung repair business as fake with an aftermarket screen. In fact two retailers picked it straight away because the screen is so obviously fake. The phone is an S22 Ultra. So I opened a return request and ordered a new one from a different seller. Lo and behold, the new one is also a fake upon professional inspection - yet both came 'new and sealed.' So I repacked it and opened another return. So now I've finally ordered a mint condition Note20 Ultra through Swappa which arrives tomorrow and I've always wanted one. The S22 Ultras seemed to get hot and take a long time to charge also. I am so done with replacing my primary phone now, that I really want this one to be fine. I was reading however that Note20 Ultra no longer gets software updates and I just wanted to find out from people if you think this has hindered your device security and functionality at all. I have bought an extra 256MB sd card for storage as well, so I am ready for this phone caper to be over. Any advice would be truly appreciated. Thanks!

NOTE 20 ULTRA BATTERY MOD?

Has anyone had any luck replacing the stock battery with a newer one from the S23, S24, S25, or S26 series?

Gratitude to my Note 20 U

Dear Galaxy Note 20 Ultra,

I am writing this letter to you with a heart full of gratitude and a touch of bittersweet nostalgia. Thank you for so many incredible years of unwavering companionship. Together, we traveled the world, crossed borders, and captured unforgettable memories. No matter where we went, you always rose to the occasion, proving yourself to be an absolute titan of technology and a deeply reliable partner.

I want to make one thing perfectly clear: I am leaving you today, but it is not because you failed me. It is not because you stopped working, and it is not because your beauty has faded. You still run with the same elegance, your Mystic Bronze finish still turns heads, and your beautiful display remains unmatched.

I am leaving you strictly for reasons beyond your control. I am moving on for the advanced privacy and uncompromising security that only GrapheneOS can provide. Because of this specific need, I must switch to another device that supports it.

Even though I am moving on to another phone, you have earned a permanent place in my heart. You were the pinnacle of an era, the ultimate Note, and the best travel companion I could have ever asked for. Thank you for everything.

Looking to get a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 / Note 20 Ultra in India

Hi everyone,
I’m looking to buy a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 or Note 20 Ultra as a secondary device. I’m based in India and looking for a decent unit.

I’m open to either the Note 20 or Note 20 Ultra, preferably in good condition. I’m mainly interested in the overall value rather than getting a particular colour or storage variant. I already have a main device (iPhone 17e), I want to experience Samsung note once.

I’m not looking for a primary phone, so I’m trying to keep the budget reasonable (15k INR, little negotiable).

Any advice from people who’ve owned one or have recently bought/sold one would be appreciated.
