🔔 Hear ye, hear ye! Nugutown has hit 3000 residents! 🔔

(are we overdoing the whole town schtick yet?)

In all seriousness, it's a long way to 4000 from here so we really wanted to celebrate this milestone number of members and thank you all for joining and participating in this community.

We've worked hard to bring this subreddit back from abandonment; to update daily and keep up with new releases and happenings, ensuring the page stays active and up to date.

We've also put a lot of thought into reorganizing and giving the place a fresh lick of paint as well as rebuilding relationships across the reddit kpop community. We hope that those efforts have been visible to the regulars who visit.

We want to give a shout out to our friends at r/kpop, r/kpoppers and r/kpopnoir who have graciously helped us with promotions and partnerships knowing it was mostly a one way thing but wanting to support us and what we do here for the good of the larger community.

Please know we always welcome your comments, posts and any feedback you have and we're constantly looking at ways to improve or give you all more of the content you want and the best space possible on reddit to discuss nugu groups, releases and news so don't hesitate to message or even make a post if you have something to say!

Yes there will be more plays on the town gimmick, suck it up 🤠

We have a new collab with r/nugutown!

Hi all! We are gathered here today one and all to announce a civil joining between r/kpopnoir and r/nugutown! From today, their subreddit will actually be the very first to be displayed on our sidebar in partnership! What does this mean for the subreddit! Nothing major, just a new subreddit you can use if you're interested and you may see a couple of crossposted posts from time to time. We will let them take over the rest of this post:

r/nugutown was established in 2018 (that's a long time ago) to be a place dedicated to the nugu's of the k-pop world.

It's been through some ups and downs, it was abandoned for nearly a year, but brave residents have turned the lights back on and we now update daily with nugu releases, monthly discussions, teasers, news and of course... where you find out your lowkey faves are no more!

We'd love it if you gave us another visit, and maybe hung around to check out some of the gems that come out of these groups and artists (and there's plenty!) so you can at least show your friends how cool you are or even try to tell us that the ones you love are NOT NUGU GODDAMMIT!

Let them out of nugu jail!
