Currently the best AP nunu build and runes? If theres no singular best then how about the situational AP runes and builds? (Sorry for bad grammar I'm not very good at english)

Is thornmail or any other defence build as a first item good for Nunu?

I've died so many times in the early phase of the game because I'm so squishy. Many player I've watched uses Hextech or Solari as their first item. I know building tank items early on causes you to not have any damage but isn't that the point of Nunu to initiate and let hour team mates take the kill?
