Best vegan tiramisu?

I've been craving some tiramisu recently and am looking for recommendations.

I've tried the tiramisu from Peacefood, and it was pretty good. I also tried the matchamisu from Rawsome. It was delicious, but I would like a more traditional one.

Restaurants with unique food options like oxtail, oysters

Howdy! Visiting from Washington DC until Sunday evening (5th July) . What restaurants here have some unique vegan options? Yes, burgers, pizzas, pasta, sushi, chinese food, pho, ethipian, etc, are all great but I can get those in DC and have already tried some spots in NYC whenever come here.

I'm staying in Manhattan but visiting HAAM in Brooklyn which has vegan oxtails! Are there any places with oysters or unique vegan food like that? Or less represented cuisines in vegan restaurants. For example, I'm Cameroonian and would love some places with West African foods like egusi soup, eru, etc.

Vegan dessert shops or dessert shops with lots of vegan options other than cupcakes/muffins would be great too. Bonus points if any GF friendly spots as one of my friends are GF for allergy purposes.

I'm aware that NYC is unfortunately facing a similar epidemic like DC with the really good spots closing down, haha

My thanks in advance :)

Drag Brunch with (real) vegan options

Hey, visiting from Washington DC until Sunday night. Looking for a drag brunch (or show) with vegan options. Likes waffles, pancakes, or other brunch foods. Willing to travel anywhere in NYC. I haven't found a place in DC that does one yet where I can really eat so figured I'd try one in NY. My thanks in advance :)

Red White Ramen coming to NYC

With all the recent bad news of places closing or serving animals, here's some good news.

Boston based Red White Boneless is coming to NYC soon.

No details other than their recent post.

From Chloe’s 🥰

We grabbed dinner from Chloe’s on the way home - honestly didn’t wanna get off at W4 and walk over 🥵but it was either that or cook or cereal. Sooo happy!

Manhattan restaurant recommendations?

Coming for a visit from the west coast to see my adult son, and spending all my money on meals out. (Flying on miles, free place to stay, you get the idea.) Have dinner reservations at HAGS, Dirt Candy, and Soda Club. I have two more nights to fill. I'd appreciate any recs. Happy Cow is overwhelming! Thanks, vegans.

Tofu summer rolls?!

Please tell me your fave spots to get tofu summer rolls with peanut sauce! I am familiar with Nha Minh and Sen Saigon but would love more recs, esp if there are other good vegan options on the menu (doesn’t need to be a solely vegan joint).

You can only save one nyc vegan restaurant…

The rest are sacrificed to private equity

For me it would have to be Bodhi I love that place too much.

Vegan Tu Cha

Yall I have been getting videos of these desserts from Tu Cha (and elsewhere) on my feed for months and months, and I’m desperate to try a vegan version. Does anyone know ANYWHERE (NYC or otherwise) where they have something like this??

Dirt Candy CanAMexico Day Reservations!

Hello! i have 2 prepaid tickets to the Dirt Candy CanAmerica Day event tonight at 8:30. however, i've come down with a nasty case of food poisoning, and won't be able to go. Does anyone want them? They cost $120 pp, but I'd part with them for less, just want them to go to a good home.

Update from Peacefood Union Square :(

I’m gutted over this. Will still support their UWS location, but the Union Square one is by far my favorite! Sucks that in such a wealthy neighborhood there aren’t more vegans in this world to support them and their amazing food. Ugh.

Looking to create a third space for intellectually curious vegan men in NYC

I’m (39M) a vegan of over 20 years, looking to build a welcoming community for other vegan men who enjoy good conversation, exchanging ideas, and making genuine friendships.

I’m hoping to meet other open-minded, intellectually curious guys from all professions and walks of life who enjoy exploring perspectives outside their own.

Outside of veganism, I’m into film, music, standup comedy, museums, menswear, art, books, foreign languages, running, and yoga. I’ve traveled quite a bit yet still have so much more of the world to see.

If you’re looking to expand your circle and help create a “third space” for thoughtful vegan men to connect offline, send me a message. I’d love to get something started.

NOTE: This is NOT intended for dating. Just good conversation, shared experiences, and genuine connections here in NYC.

EDIT: Didn’t expect this to blow up! I’ve created a Discord. If you’d like to be added just send me a DM. I will send a link to those who’ve already reached out. Thanks!

Experienced server looking for a job at a vegan restaurant in NYC!

Hi, I've been vegan for over 6 years and have over 5 years of front of house food service experience, including at high-end and high-volume restaurants. I just moved to NYC and would love to be a server at a vegan restaurant, preferably in Manhattan where my commute would be shorter.

If you know of any restaurants that are hiring or have a manager you'd be willing to connect me with, I would really appreciate it! Thank you so much!

Anyone Remember Bonobo’s?

Bonobo’s was this raw vegan spot, curious if anyone remembers it. They had a fantastic hot sauce and great seaweed roles they would make where you could a number of different nut spreads and super fresh vegetables.

Hey everyone, I’m looking to connect with other vegans or people trying to get into veganism in the NJ/NYC area who are into calisthenics and bodyweight strength training. Whether you working on basics or advanced skills, it would be awesome to motivate and learn from each other.

About me:
I’m based in northern NJ but open to meeting across the area right now, I’m heavily focused on freestyle and statics.

If you’re interested don’t be afraid to comment or reach out! Totally okay if you’re located anywhere else whether thats outside the area or even internationally.

Trying a new Vegan friendly meal delivery in Brooklyn

Last week was my first time trying a new Indian meal delivery business https://tiffin.nyc/ after they did a pop up at my local vegan coffee shop Familiars cafe.

Last week they did a tofu coconut curry, with sides of rice, cabbage, and a salad. Pretty balanced and I loved that I got multiple items for $20. They delivery in Bedstuy/ Bushwick.

This week is a Jackfruit Biryani. (indian mixed spiced rice dish)

They are NOT fully vegan. But they offer vegan and vegetarian options. Seems like they're toying with vegan after a successful pop-up with a large vegan turnout.

Sharing this so they can get a lot of vegan orders and hopefully do even more vegan days going forward. : )

PS Sorry for the low quality image btw. I'll keep you guys posted on how this weeks dish is!

Restaurante vegano em NY

Olá, poderiam indicar restaurantes veganos seguros para pessoa alérgica a lácteos?

Tenho medo de por exemplo o pão de hambúrguer ou a massa da pizza do restaurante conter traços de leite.
