Physical disc production ending in January 2028 for new games releasing on PlayStation consoles
Well, that's lovely. I guess the physical media era is officially coming to an end. Guessing this means the PS6 will be digital only.

For those who are looking at either getting or upgrading to a very solid GPU, the 9070XT (along with other AMD cards) seems to be on sale at a few sites (PB and Extremepc). From what I understand GPU prices are set to get higher near the end of the year so if you were thinkin of upgrading now might be the time!
Speaking from experience, the 9070XT has been an amazingly reliable card for 1440p gaming and also a very 4k capable card (without spending absurd amount of money).
Since January this year, no shops or online in NZ seem to have it. JB Hi Fi in Australia has them but not here and can’t ship one to my address.
Amazon has a couple that can be shipped to NZ but they are from Europe so I am not sure if they can work with the DLC from the aus/nz psn store. Will they?
Hey peeps. Looking at building an am5 for around or up to 4k. Would love to see your builds, im getting a bit lost on the other details such as psu, mobo etc, so I'd like some inspo if you care to share. Cheers legends.
Notes & thoughts for passionate bros below:
Case. Dunno, Matx if viable.
Gpu. 9070xt is decided.
Cpu. 9700x most likely. (Gaming + CAD programs).
Ram. 32gb (Could buy 2ndhand)
Storage. 1tb nvme is manageable for now.
Cooling. Likely go for fan cpu cooling. Aio bit gimmicky?
Mobo. Want wifi as option.
OS. Need to buy.
Psu. 800w min.
Preference of minimal over rgb hellscape.
Will sell 6600xt, 3600x, 32gb am4 pc after purchase.
Tbh i have thought about just buying a 5800x3d + 9070xt + new psu and calling it a day (or 4 years lol), but luckily I have a bit of cash atm.
Its been hard to play with price options as pbtech is basically the only viable retailer :(
Anyway, if anyone minds sharing, I'd be stoked!
Hi, I'm making this post because I need help on which platform to play mainly solo games.
I have in my possession a PC playing in 1440p 240Hz IPS, a PS5 Slim where I alternate between my previous screen and my QLED 4K TV. But I need your help to know on which platform to play and on which screen for big AAA games?
I play competitive games on my PC which makes sense. Because I think some games are better to play on pc and others ps5.
So what is your opinion, thank you in advance ! 😁
Coolest looking 1080ti but I cant find for sale anywhere in New Zealand does anyone have any advice on how I can find one
Back in 2023 I built my dream PC, which honestly I have barely used. The main game I still play is LoL which this is just completely overkill for so considering downgrading to something cheaper. Hoping I might be able to get some guidance what I should look to sell this for?

I was on the PlayStation store and GTA 6 is currently listed at $174.95 for the ultimate edition and $139.95 for the standard edition.
I went to JB Hifi NZ and Preorders for GTA 6 is listed as $119. I am inclined to believe it's the standard version but do you think they'll list the Ultimate edition at a lower rate as well or nah?
Very on brand for the series
"Long shot! Looking for an old Xbox 360 mate from the Black Ops 1 days last gamertag was like Bezy Bro NZ, real name was Brenden/Brendan from around New Plymouth/Taranaki area We used the clan tag NEK. If this rings a bell!

Hi, random question, does anyone have original Pokemon boxes from the 90s that were purchased in NZ? I have old game cartridges that are AUS cartridges but I can’t figure out if they came in the same boxes Australia got, or whether they were further localized for the NZ market, or if we got the UK boxes. The AUS boxes have the Australian Government crest and rating on the front, the UK ones have UK and Dutch on the back. If you have original NZ purchase boxes and can share pics, much appreciated. Thanks!
Had this sitting on my display shelves for years. Keen for someone else to enjoy. Not sure on pricing but let me know :) delete if not allowed or what ever

So House House are coming out with a new game in August (Big Walk) and I would love to play it. I also realise that I need more friends who are also gamers
I am 42 and live in Australia and I realise how much I miss gaming with other people. Maybe we could also play repo or peak and other co-op games
Does anyone know other places to find people to play with?
