They remind me of a "My Singing Monsters" YouTuber's. I like them so much that I'm thinking of making icons like this for the characters from my own projects.
33 yo guy from Australia. I grew up playing Abe's Oddysee since I was 5 years old and have subsequently played all the games in the series. I find myself returning to Oddysee and Exoddus regularly and find them to be such excellent games. I now realise they certainly shaped me into the person I am - in spirit, as well as creatively. Not to mention the dark humour...
I am about to start playing all the Oddworld games throughout the rest of the year. I am wondering if these have remained anyone's favourite games from childhood? I find the visuals on PS1 still preferable to the New n Tasty! I love the latter games (especially Stranger's Wrath) and loved that I got to live to see Soulstorm be made. (very much looking for to replaying that one as I have only played it once shortly after it came out)
Since it dried out this week [ its been raining at night ] I decided to try out munch in the parking lot, ofc it is asphalt, uneven, sunken in places, rough and has small scattered rocks across the surface so it is not a nice flat surface like concrete.
his get back up feature did work a couple of times after tripping over small rocks.
Oddworld Munch’s Oddysee holds a special place in my heart because its quite literally the first video game I ever played at the age of 5. I was born in 98’ and had an Xbox growing, so I missed out on Abe’s Oddysee and Exoddus.
I’m sure without a doubt; Abe’s games are just better made as a whole and are probably the best in the Oddworld franchise, however Munch is one of those nostalgic games that I still go back to as an adult.
I know it’s generally agreed upon with Oddworld fans that Munch’s Oddysee missed the mark, so if you made it this far down my post, what did you not like about Munch? For the people that actually enjoyed Munch’s Oddysee, what did you like about it?

I came back to New n tasty many years later after trying it and hating the look and I found a way to make the game preeeeeety close to the asthetic of the original and that was to turn the bloom glows and dirt off and turned the gamma way down and hey! Its pretty close to what I remember from the ps1 days! I can't believe I never noticed the settings for that before! What a fool I was before.. anyway!
So glad I'm back!
Was outside yesterday eating dinner when this cloud rolled by. Kinda looks like munch. Its funny, my wife and I were discussing if we still see anything in clouds anymore. And I did!!

It appears that Scatted Brains Inc. is not quite dead yet and is keeping their last live trademark active. Considering the previous interview where Lanning talks about a high-octane racing game ala Mad Max, I think it's not unreasonable to assume "WARSPORT" is the intended name of this game.
Another improvement proposal I have is the return of quicksave. Many players found Soulstorm challenging due to the lack of a quicksave feature, but since the game was designed around that limitation, adding it back could make it too easy.
That's why I proposed a compromise: Limited Quicksave.
This would improve:
- The strategic depth and challenge of each level
- Reduce frustration in certain sections
- Make the gameplay feel more dynamic
