Has anyone had a similar engine sound before?
Car has 92,000 km, freshly serviced, with a new aux belt and thermostat. Power is normal and the workshop says there’s no problem.
Video was taken at operating temperature.
Checking out the last remains of what used to be the fastest racing track of Europe in the 1920s by car manufacturer Opel. The oval track with a length of 1,5 km was built after locals were complaining about the noise of Opels car tests. At its peak cars could reach speeds up to 140km/h with up to 50.000 visitors to watch. It was not only a race track, but also used as a test track for new Opel projects. After the end of WWII the area was used by the US Army. Its use was halted in 1946 with forests taking over the old race track and only the steep-banked curve remains.
Hello everyone, i‘ve been searching for a new Radio with Display/Carplay for my opel adam 2016. It seems like there‘s nothing on the internet that could suit the frame I have. I‘m very unsure which one to buy.
Can anyone help me?

Hello, I have recently bought a used Opel Astra 2006. I have been experiencing some trouble enabling my low-beams. I see the nob for "Auto", running lights, and high-beams. All work. But, how in the world do I enable ONLY the low-beams, why do ONLY the running lights and high-beams turn on and nothing in-between??
Please, anyone with some knowledge on this, I will be extremely thankful.
Hey guys about a week ago my car started making this bird like chirping noise. The thing is it's random and only happens on the slightest uneven road..to better say it it's like anytime the cars weight shifts a little. I hear it in neutral and in drive. Stepping on the brakes makes no difference at all to the sound.
The car is an Opel agila B diesel engine manual if that helps any. And a month ago I had my timing chain replaced. I put a video of the sound. It's almost like a rattle or bird chirping
I've got my astra exactly year ago.I was a pretty long journey(22k km). No bigger technical issues(beside vvt). That's my first car and I really appreciate how good this car is.
Hi guys,
Would love to ask you guys for advice!
I run a 2002 Opel/Vauxhaul Corsa C 1.2 easytronic (previous owner grandma) with 120.000km on the clock.
Recently I started doing my own maintenance on the car, which is a lot of fun, especially with a DIY-garage close by!
On my first oil, filter and spark plug change I saw underneath of the car (on the bridge) 2 broken driveshaft gaiters on the left.
On the internet the opinion on changing them is quite mixed, some people state it is easier to just replace the driveshaft seen for convenience, others say you should replace the gaiters.
The car drives fine and I don’t hear any strange noises while driving, even when the wheels are completely turned.
My last service of the car was in September 2025 by mechanic, it seems that he just glued the gaiter, while the told me he replaced it…
I would love to perform the repair myself.
A driveshaft from Febi (decent quality) can be purchased for around 70 euros. Two gaiters will cost around 25.
What would you do? Thanks!
Bought this little whip for almost nothing and been workin on her the last couple months…. And holy hell is it hard to find the right parts!!! But she runs great! 60k miles on her, 3rd owner. Any recommendations on sourcing original parts/material? She needs floor carpet, sun visors, door and window seals, mostly cosmetic things, the dash has a gnarly crack in it, and my gas gage doesn’t work. I do have the original wheels and hub caps I plan on putting back on after I find some white wall tires. This is my first restore and I’m learning (and hunting for stuff) a lot. Thanks for lookin :)
WHAT EVEN IS THAT??? Why did they have to install everything like that? There are these thick cables up front that you can't even move because they're so tight, and behind them is a small fuse box. Astra L
Hallo zusammen.
So our opel one day started not giving any recognition to the gas pedal when it went from 1st to 2nd gear for like 3 seconds then it would work like normal. A bit later and now the car stops totaly when it goes from 1st to 2nd and has trouble starting again, any ideeas?? Edit: This happens both on manual and automatic gear, ant the screen that shows what gear you are in says f' or something like that
Hi! A few years ago, I bought an Opel Astra L (2022 model). It's a really good car and I like it.
The only issue is the infotainment system. I had a very big problem last year. Sometimes, while I'm driving, the infotainment freezes or stops working completely, and the dashboard stops showing any speed information.
I've checked with my dealership a few times about this issue, trying to update the software (there hasn't been an update since I bought the car) or reboot it, but nothing works. Yesterday, the car didn't recognise the software and wouldn't start.
Can someone help me? Is there any way to force reboot the infotainment while driving to fix it when it happens?
