I'm still so sad they didn't do more with Jesse

I know the actor had scheduling conflicts, but Helena and Jesse are so damn cute together. I'm sad we didn't get to see more of that on screen. I would have loved to have seen a "normie" have to adapt and learn to navigate their world. I feel like so many of the other characters either came into it already knowing what was going on or were already equipped with the skills to quickly adapt.

The craziest twist wasn't in the show, it was that it was really just one actress

When this show first came out I Was extremely impressed. I was convinced that this was two girls at the very least playing multiple roles, it had to be twins.

I had seen Ringer and the Lying Game on CW and ABC Family respectively, and both had twins for main characters played be one actress, and whiel the personalities could feel different the camera work was a huge issue. It's very easy to crop a shot right down the middle so the actor can be on both sides by filming both roles, but the lengths the production went to in order to have moving camera shots with multiple clones all interacting was insane.

The clone dance party wasn't even really their best work, they just wanted to make it more obvious how much work does go into mixing them together in a less subtle way.

Tatiana Maslany is a goddamn acting wizard for what she pulled off in Orphan Black

I just finished watching Orphan Black for the first time and I still can’t get over how ridiculously talented Tatiana Maslany is. Playing one character well is hard enough. Playing a whole army of distinct, fully realized people who share the same face? Absolute madness.

She didn’t just swap wigs and accents. She gave every single clone their own walk, posture, rhythm, micro-expressions, and emotional core. Sarah’s restless, street-smart energy. Cosima’s warm, slightly awkward intellectual vibe. Alison’s tightly wound suburban panic. Helena’s feral, childlike intensity. Rachel’s icy, controlled superiority. Even the smaller ones like Krystal, Beth, Tony, and MK felt completely different from the second they appeared on screen.

And the scenes where two or three of them are in the same room? Or when one clone has to convincingly pretend to be another? That’s Olympic-level acting. You never once think “oh that’s just Tatiana doing an accent.” You just buy it. Every. Single. Time.

She made the entire show possible. Without her, Orphan Black is just a cool concept. With her, it’s one of the most impressive performances in TV history. Emmy well deserved (honestly she deserved one for every season).

Clone Club forever. If you somehow still haven’t watched this show, fix that immediately.

If you were tasked with casting the clones in their own standalone TV show, who would you want to play each of them?

This is probably confusing as a concept, so let me restate... in a hypothetical world where each clone were a character in their own TV show, the clone thing not factoring in, who would you cast? This is based solely on which actress you think would best embody the role. Don't worry too much about resemblance or age.

Don't say Tatiana lmao.

For me, here are a few:

Kristen Bell as Alison

Natasha Lyonne as Helena

Chyler Leigh as Cosima

Question for Orphan Black audience

Hello. I was wondering if Orphan Black audience see it only like Sci-Fi entertainment, or are also discussing the possibility of this scenario existing in real life.

I was told there is something called the Clone Club based on Orphan Black where they discuss the show scientifically, not just artistically.

What is in Cosima's ear?

I noticed there is a beige coloured device in her left ear. This is in S01E10 Endless Forms Most Beautiful

Thoughts After the Finale

Ok...I loved the whole show but one thing bugged me so much!

Felix & Scott. They were hard core supports of the sestras but what about them?? I feel like they both got used in a way. I feel like Donnie was part of the plot but Felix and Scott just gave and gave and got nothing back.

What is your favorite episode?

Mine is 4x5 because it’s the first time I wasn’t bothered by misunderstanding humor and actually found it comedic. And the character banter and scenes were great. I honestly could never tell or believe what happened next 😭😭😭

Tatiana is suberb magic

I'm watching orphan Black before it leaves Netflix. I'm truly in awe of Tatiana. I keep forgetting that one actress is playing each clone.
