I tried to strip one with isopropyl but it was such a headache and the previous layer had varnish and oil so I painted them over again! Not too bad, does not seems that it clogged any major details (mostly airbrush layer + speedpaint 2.0).
I tried to follow the Ivory Host colour scheme which I found quite pleasing. My original paintjob was here and somehow I was not satisfied with it ̄\_(ツ)_/ ̄

So I did as the Warhammer colour App said but I'm not sure if it's good or not what you think?
I had initially wanted to go for a deserty theme, but applying nazdreg yellow over the abbadon black on the armor and shield turned it greenish instead, so I said "welp, guess I'm going for a forest/swamp theme now" lol. I want to have each unit have a color scheme thematically consistent with their role in the army though, so idk how good this fits for the mortek guard. He looks kinda nurgly.
With the loss of the Scourge of Ghyran battle formations, OBR are back to the 4 battle formations from the battle tome. With the loss of Hekatos Drillmasters particularly, and seemingly no new Scourge of Aqshy replacements, these options feel really underwhelming.
What battle formation do you see yourselves picking for this season?

I'm trying to put together my first 2k list. I have been buying some models I love but I want it to be competitive enough to be brought at the game store. And with the release of SoA I think it's time to buy some bones.
So I currently have Soulmason, and I love him so much. So my idea was to add the SoA Vokmortian to the roster. That said, I quite love the new Banner and I feel like obligated to play Boneshaper. I guess I could swap wizard depending on the artefact I play but I wanted to ask you if you'd consider 3 wizards without katakros.
I like the cavarly really much, and I was thinking of having Zandtos/Liege as general. So for that regiment I'll need 10 horses. How do wizards play with kavalos?
The rest of the models I own are a reinforced unit of Morghasts, Harvester, 3 stalkers and 40 mortek guard (bought too many maybe). Also endless spells.
Could you please help me with the list? Is it a bad idea to play all 3 wizards?

Hello, after a year of neglecting my pile of shame i decided to sell it and start over, decided to go with the OBR.
I have my paint scheme ready but i want to paint the bones the same way as the eavy metal team, but which paint do they use? I took the mortek crawler as an example because there are some good gradient with some dark brown to a really nice boney beige.
Is there any good tutorial to paint bones like this? Or just a precise paint list ?

Hello fellow followers of our supreme master Nagash, it is I, a humble Vampiric Soulblight Gravelords player who is interested in potentially getting into the Boney Boys and I'm interested in how the army plays.
I feel like in Life, before my reincarnation under the supreme lord, I was one of those stinky Stormcast paladins which are another very elite army with high points costs, low model counts - is this similar to the boney boys?
What playstyle fits them best? Are you better sitting in your guarded castles or do you better charging into the fray? As a former paladin now turned vampiric cavalry enthusiast, I do like my big chargey fighty deathy killy armies.
I also see you have some quite cool looking things in your forces. The Mortek Crawler is particularly inspiring!

(TLDR and break of Character: I'm newer to the game and have always been interested in Ossiarch's model range. I primarily play Stormcast and Soulblight Gravelords with Vhordrai and full Blood Knight cav, and I hear Ossiarch is the elite army for Death, so was wondering if it was similar to the playstyle to those armies, aka lower model count but more elite units that charge and fight well. Given the army also has things like Mortek Crawler, is this more a castley type of army? Interested to hear your thoughts!)
I didn't have any trouble with the first morghast but I just spent an hour trying to get D79 attached and it just does not sit well or connect at all. I have repeatedly checked that they are the correct pieces and smoothed off any sprue remnants but it doesn't fit.

I am slowly shifting from a spearhead to full games of AOS and I think OBR will be my first army
I currently own the first spearhead box (gothizzar, deathriders, etc), triaxes, reapers and a liege mortek. Next im thinking of getting the mortisan elite box and/or katakros
What else should i get? Id rather not have anything too horde-y, so no 60 mortek guard please lmao

Spotted these in the new Battlescroll / Battle Profiles updates that went up on WarCom this morning.
I assume "Mortisan Refinements" are going to be part of our new Scourge of Aqshy rules we're getting later this week. I also assume "Elongated Tibias" is going to grant movement speed.
But like... Tall Triaxes? I'd be here for it
