So I was going to start working today and boom, my outlier is looking weird for the queued projects. I check and oh I see Ather, but boom “Project Disabled” so I’m confused. I checked the project and it says I was removed from being an annotator, I check my email and they say I’ve been removed from this project, that I can get new other tasks (which are never available) on their marketplace. Their reasoning is that The decision was made after a review of your past submissions which did not meet the required quality standards set by our customers. My score was great and never went below. Frustrating dealing with this, I’m trying to find new companies to work for similar to how these work if anyone knows of any?

I got a mail from outlier that i have to fill in this form,If anyone interested to explain me about this, I would be happy.

I’ve been doing outlier for the past two months pretty casually like an hour or two every other evening on various different tasks that they offer me. Yesterday night, I got an email with subject “This email was written by a real person from Aether project”

and then goes on to say:

“You’ve recently been assigned to 260310-live-s2s-elo on the Aether platform based on your contributor profile and past performance. We’d appreciate it if you could prioritize this project when working on Aether.”

I have no QA feedback as of yet on the MM and I also haven’t done any outlier all week since the budget seems to end before I put the baby asleep and also lack of tasks. When i’ve logged on to MM all I see now is Omni S2s Elo and Live S2s Elo.

Has anyone on here received similar or the same?

I logged in today and was greeted by this lovely "Account Under Review / Unapproved Annotator Status" screen. It says my account is temporarily restricted and under review by the quality control team for potential quality issues.

A few questions for anyone who has dealt with this before:

• Is this part of a mass sweep? Did a bunch of people get hit with this at the same time today, or did I just get unlucky?
• How long does the QC review actually take? The screen says to wait, but we all know platform support can take ages. Are we talking days or weeks?
• Is there a real chance of recovery? If you've successfully cleared this review and gotten your queue back, did you have to spam support/Slack, or did it resolve automatically?

I already sent a professional appeal email to support with my specific wfe-...@outlier.ai ID, but I'm trying to figure out if I should just write this off for the next few weeks or if there's hope for a quick fix.

Any insights or past experiences would be massively appreciated. Thanks!

Hello, I was taking the Generalist assessment and accidentally double-clicked the submit button on one question. The assessment suddenly closed and returned me to the dashboard before I finished. Now the Generalist skill appears in red under Available Skills, and I cannot reopen or continue the test. Could you please help reset or restore the assessment?

I’m new to Outlier.
My first project was Meter Pavilion. Got paid for initial tasks, but misunderstood some requirements and ended up getting disabled from the project after low reviews.

Just wanted to ask realistically:
- Do people usually get assigned a second project later?
- Or once a project gets disabled with low scores, is it mostly over?

Would appreciate honest answers from people who’ve actually been through it.

Just wanted to share my part of the story we all share with Outlier.

I started a little bit more than a year ago. First two months were very good!

I received a few invitations to some projects, they didn't last for long though. Still sticked around with the platform. In August/September, I have been banned from the platform, a few months worth of appeals sent to a non exisiting support did nothing in order to get an answer from Outlier on why was I banned. Suddenly, in February Outlier sent me an answer! It turns out I was blocked FOR NO REASON. Literally, I was banned due to an error. The project I have been working on was no longer available. No recompensation. Nothing. They just released me from my limbo and allowed me to look at the main "Outlier" page with no projects available. Few weeks later I was invited to join Aether. I passed the screening. Worked for a few days, then the news struck: most of the Aether contributors have been released, including me. Again, sent to limbo. No invitations whatsoever. This has been the worst experience in my professional career EVER.

It was 8 PST a few weeks ago but seems like the budget is running out much more quickly now. Has it been changed back to 6 PST?

How many of you received the email of being no longer eligible on Aether for no apparent reason?

It seems odd that mm went down for a short bit, then many of us got moved to UA mid task after it came back up. Do we think this is a glitch or a coincidence? Has anyone recently gotten reinstated after being UA? How long did you wait?

Just opened up Hubstaff and MM for the day (Aether), and now there are two timers - regular MM, and MM Evals. Anyone know what this means? I looked it up in the subreddit search but couldn’t find any actual answers, just other people asking more questions lol.
The only email I’ve gotten recently was regarding the LaTeX form.

Man, with rates of 7.5 USD, little to no work for most of the week, and no active missions when there's work... This is like freaking insane, even worse is the fact that at the time of being paid, Paypal drops the value of dollar by a 5%.

How are you going though this?

Hello, I've been removed from the community channels for the Aether project which I find odd. I have not been kicked out of the project and it's still available on my Hubstaff. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

I’m feeling really depressed right now and honestly don't know what to do. 🥺

I was an Oracle status holder and I've been working on Outlier for more than 2 years. I always tried to maintain good quality work and never intentionally violated any rules. Then out of nowhere my account got banned.

Now I have no access to the Community section anymore. The only thing I can see is the earnings tab. I've tried reaching out to support multiple times, but I'm only getting repetitive responses saying that I violated Community Guidelines, which I genuinely believe I did not.

My last project was Maraca Camera and things were actually going well there. Support says I was "evading timers or staying idle during tasks," but that is completely wrong.

The Maraca Camera workflow itself was time-consuming. Sometimes even 3 hours felt less to properly complete a task because work involved conversations, collecting trajectories, reviewing outputs, and preparing the final submission. So if the task window looked inactive at times, it was because I was actively working through the actual process — not because I was sitting idle.

I've seen similar situations happening to many people as well. Today it’s me, tomorrow it could be someone else. I think Outlier should investigate and fix the root cause behind these situations if genuine contributors are being affected.

A lot of my future plans depended on my Outlier earnings, and right now it honestly feels like everything suddenly ended.

Has anyone here been reactivated after something similar happened?
