Overlord x Daruma

Overlord x Daruma

I wanted to take a moment to genuinely thank this community. Earlier this year, I dropped the Third and Fourth Overlord tees alongside the Minion Hoodie, and the support you all showed completely blew me away. Seeing people in this subreddit recommending KultGear by name to newer fans made me realize how starved we all are for some Overlord merch.

Because you liked the earlier drops so much, I decided to go all-in for the final chapter of 2026. This will bring our total to 4 dedicated Overlord collections this year alone.

To say thank you, everything drops on September 12, and I am bringing back the original first two Overlord tees for anyone who missed them!

But today, I want to discuss one of the two drops: The NETHERUMA Collectible Plush Series 1.

The Concept:

NETHERUMA fuses the traditional Japanese Daruma doll (a symbol of resilience and determination) with the grim, dark imagery of Overlord II. It represents a twisted balance of good and evil, a dark interpretation of yin and yang. Because even when good tries to create balance, Evil always finds a way.

The Details:

Size: ~4" (10cm) heavy-duty, palm-sized pillow plush keychain. Perfect for bags or keys.

The Magic: Instead of standard cheap printing, these use a double-sided dye sublimation technique.

Price: Heavily optimized for the community. They will be just 8€ ($9.27) each.

Series 1: Minion Armor (the iconic starting gear) and Infernal Armor (the endgame set).

The store gates unlock on September 12. I can't wait to show you the apparel line and the checkout experience I’ve put together for this final run (Giblet is currently handling the backend forge).

Thank you all again for the incredible support.

For the Overlord!

I can't find the 66th Nordbergian.

I've just conquered Nordberg so I only have brown and red minions. I have already gone up to the house at the tutorial area, broken down the doors of all houses and even tried destroying them all. But I still can't find them.

This isn't because I killed Borius, is it?

Edit: I was just checking my papers and it says that I can only get 65 villagers with brown and red.

Which games have you played that have things in them you'd want to see in the next Overlord game? Not ideas or wishes, real examples.

I played Assassin's Creed Origins recently and right at the beginning of the game, there's a bunch of treasure you can walk on. It really reminded me of the Treasury from the first game but much more advanced and detailed. I really wish we could hoard an insane amount of treasure and walk over it as we wish.

Also in Conan Exiles you can make coin piles and carry unique treasure from different parts of the map that will be displayed in your treasure room exactly the way it is, not just a generic pile. And you can make animal/monster trophies after you kill them and hang them up on your wall as decoration. That'd be cool to do with like trolls or bosses or something in Overlord. You can also craft display racks of your favorite weapons and get slaves to fight for you. All these things would fit really well.

How would you feel about having the option of a female overlord?

Now I'm not talking about like with Malady and Inferna of the netherghuls. I'm talking about having an actual female overlord or "overlady".

Do you think this would affect the game or story much? Would this affect the minions somehow? Would we suddenly also have the options of choosing between male and female companions?

How would you personally feel about this?

Advice for a first time player (mods, compatibility, obscure things I should know going in)?

I'm about to start my first playthrough of the first game, and I wanted to know if there was anything I should know or do beforehand. I'm running on Linux in case there's any Proton issues.

Overlord is wildly underrated and under appreciated. I love these games so much.

If the first game and 2 ever got a remake, what are some quality of life changes you'd wanna see?

We know that EA is never gonna do anything with the property, but we can play make-believe on this one. Anyway, some QOL changes I can personally see occurring are bug fixes on things like the Guard Markers in the first game and just bug/glitch fixes over all tbh.

As for 2, nothing immediately comes to mind, but lemme know what you guys think.

What do you think of the Mother Goddess?

I know that there is contention between the Dwarves and Elves about which race she is, but I think that what matters is that she is a cold and uncaring harlot, undeserving of our worship. But at least she, alone, will listen to our woe, our sorrow, and our poetry.

Overlad vs Overdad

I like Overlad but I would 100% sacrifice him to get an Overlord 3 with Overdad.

I don't think he should die or anything, maybe play with both in the next game.

Sigh.......

Tyrant Legacies Update | Brown Netherling Redesign!

So here is a side by side comparison in Unreal with the new model (Left Model) against the old model (Right Model)

When we was designing the first model we did take a lot of inspiration from the brown minions and tried to create something a bit unique but not straying too far from them

When it came to the redesign we decided to make a couple of changes and make them feel like they are from the depths of the underworld hence why they obtained the name Netherlings! giving them a more demonic and impish design choice but still keeping it close to the brown minions

Please let us know what you think to the newer design

🔨

Giblet is back at the forge.

After a little time away, he's been working on something inspired by Overlord II - and this time, he's going all in.

A new collection is taking shape.

More details soon. 🔥

Overlord game potential

Obviously people have talked to death and unholy ressurection about a possible Overlord 2 sequel, or just another game.

But has anyone talked about the possibility of an Overlord dating sim?

Given the nature of the games, I think it'd be funny/interesting to pull a Divinity: Dragon Commander and make the game as much a dating sim as it is a grimdark Pikmin.

Introducing Hellquest: An Overlord-inspired webcomic

“This is a story of dragons and princesses. Of shining knights and righteous kings. The story of a fairytale kingdom… and the horny, evil villains who fucked it all up.”

https://www.hellquestcomic.com/english

Hellquest is a villain-protagonists, epic fantasy comedy with some NFSW elements. We have spent 5 years working on it and grateful to Mod permission, we are super excited to begin sharing it with you.

Playing Overlord marked me a bit more than I've ever cared to admit. I was always fascinated by villains, especially in fantasy, they looked cooler, they had their own ideas and more importantly they acted instead of reacted. They were also the best kind of naughty.

I had done evil playthroughs in other games before (BG2, Kotor, Jade Empire, Fable) but Overlord let me feel like that villain in a way no other game had, and it let me have a blast with it. The style, writing and humor captured me. And it stuck.

Later I got into TTRPGs and spent 2 years playing an evil campaign with friends, we got a bit obsessed and I started writing it as a webcomic, another player (Muramasa) was a great artist and we started to work on it together. And so: Hellquest happened.

The Overlord games are a massive influence in the webcomic (there are others from manga, disney and DnD/Pathfinder games and stories), you will see some obvious references like Darkan's armor and also a bit in the narrator, but also I hope you can catch some in the style and humor of Hellquest.

You can also read it in comicfury if you prefer to use platforms and suscribe for updates if you like it:

If you have any questions, doubts or comments, I'm here. Hope you enjoy it.

A possibile third chapter for the game?

So, after playing for the third time both Overlord Raising Hell and Overlord 2, I tried to write down a possible third and final chapter for the game, using the Netherghuls as main protagonist.

🏰 OVERLORD III: FELLOWSHIP OF THE ABYSS

Concept: Action-Adventure / Villain Simulator

Inspiration: Redeeming the 4 Netherghouls within a classic single-player structure, fusing nostalgia for Overlord II with the lore of the original game, and revealing the ancient origins of the franchise.

🌋 Prologue: The Invasion of the 3rd Overlord

Following the demise of the 4th Overlord (Overlad), the world has descended into chaos and is being overrun by the armies of the Abyss. Leading them is the 3rd Overlord (the protagonist of the first game), who became the King of the Infernal Abyss after being abandoned there. His sole purpose is total worldly conquest and ruthless vengeance against Gnarl.

Cornered in the Dark Tower—which has been overrun by infernal forces—Gnarl uses the dark magic of the Book of Evil to resurrect four ancient champions of evil: the 4 Netherghouls (Malady, Hakon, Inferna, and Cryos).

🔨 Act 1: Awakening the Nests & The Dark Fellowship

Gnarl only possesses enough magic to awaken the first Netherghoul, Malady, who is tied to the Brown Minions. Malady is sent on a quest to liberate the other three Minion breeds and awaken his comrades, who are held captive by the Abyss Generals:

  1. The Rotting Swamps: Defeat General Baelgoth, awaken Hakon, and recover the Green Nest (Stealth & Poison Immunity).
  2. The Torment Forges: Defeat General Pyros, awaken Inferna, and recover the Red Nest (Ranged Fire Attacks).
  3. The Caverns of Weeping: Defeat General Scylla, awaken Cryos, and recover the Blue Nest (Support, Swimming & Resurrection).

With the army reunited, the 4 Netherghouls restore the Dark Tower, dividing it into four personal wings and preparing for the counter-offensive.

🗝️ Act 2: The Relic Hunt & Return to the Lands of Overlord II

When the Netherghouls attempt to strike at the 3rd Overlord’s fortress, they discover it is protected by the Infernal Soul Barrier, an impenetrable dome of raw dark energy.

Gnarl reveals that the only way to shatter it is to harness the residual magic of the 4th Overlord, which lies dormant inside Three Personal Artifacts he once gifted to his Mistresses—now hiding across the lands of the previous game:

  • Nordberg: Retrieve the Ice Seal from Kelda (to freeze and destabilize the barrier).
  • Everlight: Retrieve the Emerald Scepter from Juno (to corrupt the barrier's power nodes).
  • Imperial Ruins / Wastelands: Retrieve the Helmet of Night from Dark Fay (to tear a void through the shadows).

🧠 Playable Memories & The Truth About Gnarl

While interacting with the three Mistresses to obtain the artifacts, the Netherghouls absorb the 4th Overlord's residual magic, unlocking playable flashback sequences as the 4th Overlord.

Through these memories, they uncover a shocking truth: the 3rd Overlord (from the Abyss) lured his own son (the 4th Overlord) into a trap to claim his army, and Gnarl orchestrated the downfall of both, ready to discard them as soon as they showed weakness.

🔀 Act 3: Three Alternate Endings

Having retrieved the three artifacts and shattered the Infernal Soul Barrier, the player enters the final chapter. The choices made during Act 2 dictate the ultimate fate of the saga:

👑 Ending 1: Obedient Servants (Gnarl's Dogma)

  • Choice: Ignore the Mistresses' memories and remain blindly loyal to Gnarl.
  • Outcome: The 4 Netherghouls annihilate the 3rd Overlord in the Abyss.
  • Conclusion: Gnarl celebrates the victory and crowns one of the Netherghouls as the 5th Overlord, maintaining his shadow rule behind the throne and continuing the eternal cycle of Evil.

⚡ Ending 2: Origin of Evil (The 3rd Overlord's Alliance & The Primordial Overlord)

  • Choice: The Netherghouls realize Gnarl’s treachery and ally with the 3rd Overlord (the King of the Abyss) to destroy the advisor.
  • The Revelation: Driven into a corner, Gnarl flees to the Vaults of Origin and reveals a millenary secret: he was the very first Minion to create the concept of the Overlord, starting every dark dynasty only to orchestrate their fall whenever they outlived their usefulness.
  • Outcome: Using the Book of Evil, Gnarl resurrects the body of the 1st Primordial Overlord. An epic battle ensues: the 4 Netherghouls + the 3rd Overlord vs. Gnarl + the resurrected 1st Overlord.
  • Conclusion: Upon defeating the Primordial Overlord, Gnarl is stripped of his staff and demoted to a lowly stable hand. The 3rd Overlord reclaims his rightful throne, naming the 4 Netherghouls as his Supreme Generals.

🗡️ Ending 3: The Netherghoul Oligarchy (Dark Anarchy)

  • Choice: Use the 4th Overlord's magic acquired from the Mistresses to break free from Gnarl's control, rejecting both him and the 3rd Overlord.
  • Outcome: Execute the 3rd Overlord to claim his abyss army, then turn on Gnarl—severing the magical binding of the Book of Evil and casting him out of the Tower.
  • Conclusion: The 4 Netherghouls refuse the tyranny of a single master and establish the Dark Council, dividing the world into four domains and ruling together without any puppeteer pulling the strings.

Hope you guys will enjoy it, let me know your thoughts

Roll out the Black Carpet for Evil

Just rescued Velvet, something I had only done once before on the 360 when it first came out, so I could get the 100% Tower Item Achievement. I don't think I ever got the Tier II Tower Decorations, so I never knew that you could get even BETTER things later on. (Looking forward to that Marble Floor)

This time, I decided to enjoy being Totally Evil and embrace everything even in the Tower. Now I gotta go back to Heaven's Peak and Spree for their "Taxes".

BONUS: I never knew that changing to the Serpent Banner would turn me green!

[OC] All Overlords are wife guys

In honour of starting my official first full playthrough of the series after having previously only played Dark Legend! I do not like farming resources but Rose is so sweet TuT

I wanted to draw them because their size difference enthralls me (exaggerated a bit here for headcanon's sake)
