Hi! I have a reservation at Beach Palace for August 1st. Since it doesn’t look like they’ll be open by then, what would you recommend? Is anyone else in a similar situation? If so, what happened with your case?

The fine print on the decline letter said that we wouldn't be eligible again for whatever intro offer they said. Does signing a decline letter mean we are not eligible for future presentations at all? Or just for the particular offer that they gave to us.

They offered something like 30 weeks around $30,000 with 0% APR something like that.

We went to Leblanc Cancun as a referral booking.

I'm planning a golf trip, adults only, to Moon Palace Cancun and wondering if anyone has stayed at the Golf Course Villas? They are so much less expensive than the Villas at the Grand, but they are also so removed from the rest of the resort. Has anyone stayed there and willing to share your experience? Was it a hassle being so far away from the main resort area? I know you get complimentary golf carts with the room. Was it difficult to find your way around? Also, how were the rooms themselves? We usually stay in the Presidential suites at Sunrise and are happy with those rooms. Are the rooms at the Golf course similar? Anything you can share would be greatly appreciated.

For reference, I am a Diamond member and we go to Sunrise every summer so I am pretty familiar with the resort property overall.

Hi all, haven't been to Mexico since they passed the public smoking law.

I know The Grand Moon Palace has designated smoking areas, and I'm curious if anyone has seen them or used them.

Specifically, are they an area where you can sit down smoke and have drink or are they just a designated area where you're away from everyone and has a cigarette butt receptacle?

Hi we booked for august at MP Nizuc through the moonpalace website but have only received a confirmation number but no reservation number or confirmation email, only the flight details since we got the package. I am a bit confused as this the first time I have done this. Who do I contact to get our information? And do they provide free shuttle?

The moon palace Grand is a dump.

They do their best to put lipstick on the pig… but wow, this place literally stinks.

The beach is disgusting. It’s a red flag beach - not safe to swim or even be nearby.

Walking through it either smells like pipes in floral-fruit, decay/mold, or some combination of the three. They are really trying to cover up the flaws, but I don’t think they are winning the battle.

Again, everything is included, which is nice. Well, mostly included.. there are a few addons, but nothing bad.

But there are some serious quality concerns. And definitely a lot of poorly maintained areas and items. Since the arcade is free.. many things are broken. Since the food is free… many things taste bad. There is a trend here.

For all the people that say this a great luxury resort - how do you ignore these issues?

Hi, we just checked out of Moon Palace Sunrise today, we stayed last year for the first time during the end of June just like now and there's a huge difference with some things.

We were getting calls to our room every day very early, we ended up disconnecting the phone. Room service also showed up at 8-9 am! We were exhausted. I know when we check out we're going to be offered a discount for next year but we said no twice like before. Last year it was dropped after the second "no" but this time it was borderline harassment. While we were waiting for our airport ride which was coming in an hour and a half, we picked up some sandwiches and drinks from the café and were harassed yet again about booking a trip for next year, we must have said no about 10 times! And my daughter said he was rolling his eyes as he walked away.

I can't get over how much their customer service changed, it's much more aggressive.

We also noticed that it's not as busy here as last year, not sure why.

Has anyone else experienced this??

I will be staying at the Moon Palace Sunrise with my 2 and 5 year old in August. If we were to get a day pass for the Grand, what do you recommend we see or do?

We bought our Palace Elite membership a couple months ago (with regrets once we did the math) but have accepted we are stuck with it and trying to make the best of it.

My question ... when we return to a Palace resort, will they try to talk us into attending a presentation to "upgrad" us to the next level and if so, do they give us any incentives (like Resort Dollars) for attending, even if we decline upgrading our membership? Fully planning to get as much $ out of this as possible and if that mean attending a 90 sales preso again for a few hundred dollars, would do that!

We’re staying at the sun palace for the first time ever. I was able to book through a family members membership (silver I think?) where I’m listed as a beneficiary.
Do I get some of the same membership perks they get when staying at palace elite resorts ?

I know in our app it already shows our resort credits.. which when we booked it said up to 1500… but we only got 750? Staying over 6 nights..which either way is fine better than nothing.

And it shows us getting the complimentary 15mins back massages, manicure/pedicures under the plan plus part of the app.

We were told we’d get 2 free complimentary tours..? I’m guessing excursions ???

Any tips or advice for sun palace ?

We're VIP members and plan to use the imperial weeks for a Presidential Suite at the Grand Punta Cana. Do we get concierge / butler service with the reservation?
If yes, for the experts / Diamond members out there, what are your most favorite / valuable things using this service? TIA!
