Anyone wanna be friends?

Hey, I'm based in the Palmdale area but I honestly don't mind going further out (might get an ebike soon). I moved out here a year and a half ago (Jan 2025) but I haven't really made any friends since then. I was just wondering since some people on these subreddits post stuff like this if anyone wanted to hang out or know places I can go to find people who want to hang out? I'm currently doing my second year at AVC so it'd be cool to make friends who also go there! I'm 19yo (doesn't matter if there's a gap), queer, easygoing, interested in getting into alt scenes, gaming, gym, reading, anime/manga, 80's music (but I'll pretty much listen to anything), and illustration/crafts. I don't really care if we have a lot of differences I just wanna get to know people around here! If you wanna talk lmk please

Jcpenny Hair Salon

Lol has anyone ever been to the JCPenney salon in the av mall, and is it good?? They are having 12 dollars haircuts for students and teachers rn but for 12 dollars I don't want them to leave my hair chopped 💀

Stinky Ugly dog found near highland high school

When I find the owner of this dog I’m gonna sock them in the mouth. Posted online, went to shelters, and signs put up. How have you not looked for your animal.

any fish fry spots?

Moved out here from LA and the one thing I haven't been able to find is the fried fish spots that are every where out there. Basically fried fish and shrimp with fries that have a sort of new orleans type of flavor. are there any out here?

FREE FURNITURE MUST GO TODAY!

Okay, Palmdale/Lancaster Redditors! You've given me the most luck so far AND you've all been GREAT. I asked for some advice on where to post to get rid of some furniture and got great advice BUT... it seems that Reddit has been the best place to post! So in a last attempt, I am making an official post on Reddit to say, COME AND GET IT.

Anything left after noon/early afternoon today is going to the landfill, unfortunately. 😢

What we still have left:

A sleeper sofa with a putty stain (shown with cover.) I am grading this as definitely used (but comfy). I could never get the putty oil stain off. Thank you Vat 19.

An oversized matching chair shown with cover. (Both original color is light gray. Good condition.

A loveseat with cover. Floral print underneath and the material is torn.

A TV that can probably only be used for scrap metal and weighs a ton. 😂 Please will someone take this?!? LOL

An entertainment center in excellent condition.

A King bed in excellent condition.

Armoire in excellent condition.

Two nightstands, good condition.

4 Accent chairs (2 Burgundy , 2 Gold) good to excellent condition.

A large desk, excellent condition.

Framed art, Excellent condition.

A faux fireplace, traditional style with mantel. Excellent condition.

An entire surround sound movie theatre system with projector and 100" screen and four black leather recliners (all excellent condition).

Some patio chairs that could use new paint,

A very large stack of ceramic plates. (Probably 40-50)

Two pretty large garage cabinets for storage. White. (Not pictured)

Nature spots

I’m going in a date soon and i need to find like good nature views and spots any help???. I’ve heard of bouquet falls a went one time but ended up jsut driving around i couldn’t find parking lmao. I’ve also heard about makeout point or whatever someplace with a nice view any help?
