Foldable Legends - Customized Models Showcase

Hi,

I would like to show you a few examples of customized models you can build with Infantrymen kit. For those of you who didn't see my first post showing a unit in it's entirity, I also added a few images which show that as well.

Also, I made major changes to the project. Let me summarize what changed:

- Subscription tiers are gone. Now you can just buy whatever kit you like from the shop and start enjoying the hobby.

- Prices are lowered slightly.

- I designed Quickstart Guides as quicker, summarized alternatives to instruction videos so you don't have to watch multiple hours of videos to start building your models.

- I clarified that materials absolutely needed to start building models are just any type of glue and a cutting tool(scissors, box cutter or whatever you already have).

You can find more info about the changes here.

I greatly appreciate your feedback so keep 'em coming. Thanks:)

The Bad Boys

These guys, all guys, can be encountered over a wide range of my campaign. They are horribly malformed, inbred and of small cognitive ability, they serve Mother. Mother is always hungry. I made these paper minis in a bit of a hurry, there will probably be a v2 someday this year.

Cyclops Fantasy Warband - Paper Minis

Just released a new set of whimsical minis! These are Cyclops, but you could just as easily use them as Trolls or Ogres!

The Origami Fox Rider

One of the things I've always wanted to do, is to make a paper army, but from Origami.

It has been a fascination going back years. But now it's slowly coming together!

This rider is an Oriribo designed by Muneij fujimoto and the fox is designed by Hideo Komatsu. The saddle and decorations are my own design.

So where is this army going next? I dunno, but I'm excited for it's future ^^

Gnomesummer #4 – The acorn-slinger

Fourth one for Gnomesummer. Recap if you're new to these: David-the-Gnome style forest gnomes, pacifists, whose woods got found by orcs, goblins, elves and wolves, and who are improvising weapons out of whatever they already had. So far a spear-guard, a village medic, and a woodcutter who's a bit too good with an axe.

This is the ranged one. Her sling isn't a weapon, it's a shepherd's sling, the thing she's used for eighty years to scare crows off the seedlings. A pouch of acorns and hazelnuts on the belt. Same improvised logic as the rest of the band: nothing here was built to hurt anyone, it just turns out a rock at speed doesn't care.

She was the most fun to draw for a specific reason: the sling mid-whirl gives her a big loop of empty space above her head, and that's the most distinctive outline in the whole warband. At 22mm the silhouette is basically all a player reads, so I've been trying hard to make each mini unmistakable from the shape alone: spear-and-shield, beard-and-bag, axe-at-the-knee, and now this loop. It also means she won't get confused with the goblin archers I made last year.

Red braids, wide braced stance, oak-leaf on the acorn pouch. 55mm strip, 22mm boots to head, 29mm to the tip of the hat. Front and back, print, cut, fold, base.

Gnomesummer #5 - The Geese Keeper

Last one for Gnomesummer, and it finishes the warband. Recap if you missed them: David-the-Gnome style forest gnomes, pacifists with no soldiers and no word for warrior, whose woods got found by orcs, goblins, elves and wolves. They defended it by improvising out of whatever they already owned: a spear that's really a walking staff, a shield that used to be a tabletop…

The Geese Keeper is the whole idea distilled. She runs the village stores, she has four hundred years of authority… and when the invaders came she grabbed a rolling pin and pointed the geese at the treeline. A rolling pin is the least martial object I could give anyone: not a soldier who found a weapon, a cook who ran out of patience. And nobody trains a war-hound in a hurry, but farm geese are territorial, furious, and almost as tall as she is.

On the sheet she's three separate figures (the matron and each goose on its own base) so the geese are reusable. Field a gaggle, or just drop them in as angry farm animals in any game.

She's also the deliberate bookend to the first mini. The spear-guard was "somebody's mother with a pointy stick"; this is somebody's grandmother with a rolling pin and two furious birds. The warband opens and closes on a woman defending home.

That's the set: five gnomes and two geese. 55 mm strip, gnome's 22 mm to the head, geese come up almost to her shoulder. Made for Paper Miniature Jam 4. Thanks to everyone here who threw feedback in on the earlier ones.
