Some useful concepts as to how to use "hammer-ons" like the great Pat Metheny

Here are a few examples of the different approaches to percussive hammer-ons that have become a signature part of Metheny's sound and how one can incorporate such techniques to add a bit of spice and energy to any phrase. Hope you enjoy it. If you want to dive deep on concepts like this I love to share all my explorations and writings and have plenty of material available on my educational site at Moern Jazz Guitar Books

Pat Metheny's Solo Break on "Third Wind" - The Evolution of a Phrase (1987 to Now)

I love doing deep dives and exploring the evolution of a melodic unit throughout the years. This was definitely a fun one.

Promo Copy of Still Life (Talking)

So, I recently discovered PMG’s music, and I’ve been blown away by their discography.

I bought a copy of Still Life (Talking) off of discogs, and noticed that it was a promo copy.

Anyway, it’s an amazing album, and probably one of the first pressings. I thought it was worth sharing here.
