Why am I having graphical issues with Rebirth on PC?

Pretty much what I have been getting today is several textures being warped/not loading properly, along with overbright glow/bloom bleeding and weird lighting flickers. I don't remember any of this happening yesterday; however, I really only made it through Chapter 1 and had just started playing last night.

I feel like I've tried everything at this point and nothing I've done has fixed any of these issues...

My PC components are as follows.

**CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor**

**Motherboard - MSI B450 TOMAHAWK ATX AM4 Motherboard**

**GPU - NVIDIA Founders Edition GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB Video Card**

I have changed the graphics settings both in-game and in the Nvidia app several times already (Nvidia keeps recommending the highest settings for "optimization"), but nothing works.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My Monitor suddenly appeared with these vertical lines.

My Monitor has suddenly showed up with these lines. Model:- Asus Pa247cv with around 3 years of usage. I haven't thrown anything towards it. In fact I was not doing any heavy refresh rate works just studying the notes and it suddenly appeared.

Now what to do with this. Any suggestions?

Is my GPU the problem?

I'm planning to buy a new GPU, but I just want to make sure the GPU is actually the culprit and not my cheap power supply.

These random black polygon flickers appear and disappear while I'm playing any game, and they start as soon as I launch the game. This isn't an isolated case either—it happens in every game I've tried.

I also checked whether my monitor was the problem by connecting my PC to my TV, but the same issue happened there as well.

Edit: My GPU is already 2 years old and I buy it second hand and it is RX580 2048sp. I know this gpu is used in crypto mining.

Every game I play has frame rate drops/stutters on my PC, regardless of how demanding.

Background: I have an old laptop (8 years old, now). I only play games in which it meets the recommended requirements for. Most of the games I play are ancient (Rome 2 Total War (2011), Skyrim (2011), Doom (2016), Hell Let Loose (2019), (FFVII Reunion (2022)). In the past it played all of these games super smoothly, even with 2K texture mods, and typically on the highest graphic settings.

The problem and failed solutions: Within the last few months I noticed jitters/stuttering every few seconds on Hell Let Loose. I originally believed it was simply due to the game's recent updates, so I lowered my graphics from ultra (which ran 75FPS for the last few years)... to high... to medium... to low... I tried recommended Nvidia settings, and tried different versions of DirectX, with no positive results. Though the overall frame rate increased, the stuttering still occurred every few seconds, making the game unplayable.

I thought it could have been some other background issue. I uninstalled most of the applications that ran in the background (anti-virus, start up applications), cleared the SSD which the games ran on of a lot of storage, and cleared some space on the NVMe that the OS runs on. No improvements.

I updated the GPU driver and made sure it was set to gaming (I did have it set for video editing). Again no improvements. I then assumed that HLL was just now incompatible in its current form with my PC. That's when I learned ALL GAMES HAVE THE EXACT SAME STUTTER. Rome 2, which has always been buttery smooth, Final Fantasy, which I put down a few months ago, but was close to finishing now slide shows every 10 seconds. Freakin' A Dance of Fire and Ice, which should run on a potato, stutters!

EVEN when performing this benchmark, the same stutter occurred throughout. Same intervals, same drops.

WHAT CHANGED AND HOW CAN I FIX IT?

Note: My PC is primarily for audio. I run Pro Tools 2021.7 (perpetual), used my PC as a Dante receiver/transmitter to record 32 track multitrack, and can mix and master extensive audio sessions without any issues at all. This is purely a gaming issue.

Got a 4K TV but PC isn't 4K capable, will games look bad?

Hello, I have a PC with a 4060 and a Ryzen 5 5500 and 16 gigs RAM connected to my TV but it's a 4K TV, will games still look good on it or is the TV overkill for my setup? Sorry if it's a stupid question.

GPU fans stopped working (9070XT)

I'm on driver version 26.6.4 and today I updated the bios. I have no way to prove that it was the bios( B650 AORUS ELITE AX V2 F41 version) or driver update because I did not check if everything was working before as I didn't play games during these days and AMD told me to update bios because I had previous problems with display port detection.

I already tried to re-install Adrenaline. What can I do? is it bricked?

How to tell Mac RAM usage

I’ve built my computer a good few years ago now (maybe 2022) and have no idea what version of RAM I bought, I know it’s a Corsair Vengeance but have no idea what speed or DDR it would be. I’m trying to see if my RAM has been capped off at factory settings or not in hopes to increase it but have no idea what speed to try and increase it to. I’ve checked task manager and it says it’s speed is 2666 MT/s but I feel like the RAM should be higher than this, just not too sure how much higher.

Why do games run so much better on windowed mode?

I was playing a couple of games and I noticed that in all of them, they are very choppy in full screen and even full screen borderless, yet in windowed mode they are smooth like I’d expect. Also, there seems to be this weird yellowish tint that appears on the game after I tab in, like it’s bright white and then yellowish.

TIFU by cleaning my boyfriends mouse

Ok, so I really need help on this. Me and my boyfriend are dating for almost 3 years, and he is travelling to another country with his family to commemorate his bday. I have the keys to his apartment and he allowed me to stay here to play games in his desktop pc, cause mine is not that good. I decided to help with his things: his keyboard and mouse were extremely greasy because he never cleans it, and he has said before he wanted to clean it but didnt know how to. So I bought isopropyl alcohol and searched how to clean his keyboard, and did everything right. My problem is that I thought "so, to clean his mouse is just the same, right?". Wrong. As I started to clean, it started to remove a strange layer. At first, I thought it was just A LOT of grease, but as I continue to clean it, I noticed it was that matte soft finish to be more comfortable grippying the mouse. Now Im just scared, cause it was one of those expensive ergonomic mouses and I dont want to upset him, specially as hes taking a really deserved vacation, but at the same time, I dont really know what to do. So reddit, there is a way to solve this issue?

TL;DR: I tried to clean my boyfriends mouse with isopropyl alcohol and completely removed the soft grippy finish from it.

SSD not being detected in BIOS and I'm not being able to install Windows 11 due to not meeting the requirements

My specs are: Motherboard: ASUS A520M-PLUS WIFI CPU: AMD RYZEN 5 4500 with stock cooler GPU: RX 580 RAM: 16 GB 2133 MHz + I'll be adding 16 more GB from my old pc as soon as the new pc works perfectly Storage: ADATA LEGEND 710 1TB (M.2 NVMe) PSU: ST60F-ES230 600 W Case: Montech AIR 100 LITE Black

Now the problem. When i open up bios, it does not detect my SSD even though I took it out and placed it back. I tried a lot of other things with my cousin the other night but that didn't work. I tried updating the BIOS to the latest verison, but it didn't work either. But after some things i did a green light is on near the SSD, so that might be good i think.

As for the problem with Windows 11 I think it's because I my motherboard doesn't detect my SSD, but i could be wrong.

I am very frustrated. Please, comment if you know something that might help.

Does anyone know how to make Sonic Adventure 2 work off Steam?

I'm new to pc gaming and this was literally the first game I purchased and tried to launch... it gives me an error every time. I am not brand new to computers altogether. I did some searching and tried a few things but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get this game to run. I'm pretty certain I copied the error message character for character:

Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue. the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit. the application will close immediately.

InvalidArgument=Value of '0' is not valid for 'index'.

Parameter name: index.
