My friend was online like 30 mins ago but he didn't play on this world and when I clicked the world it sends me to Hive? And in a world you can only get 5 players at a time and there was 4 out of 8 players...? Idk can someone explain this?

I saw a post involving what form the dye would take ingame, and the three options in that post were a goop, a chalk-like substance or dust. None of those would explain what we see with sheep, so I have another proposal.

A living organism that changes the genetics or chemistry of the thing it's dyeing. This would explain why the wool can infinitely regenerate in sheep, and also explains why it can be inherited in baby sheep. The only real hole in this theory is lapis
