Missing videos?

okay hi me again, back on here with my journey of rewatching old pentatonix videos and YALL. Am I crazy?? Or are so many old videos just?? Gone?? Like especially backstage sing off stuff. I’m trying to find the video of Mitch acting “straight” to avi, Kirstie doing a video with Scott and Mitch bts on the sing off… and idk just many more videos/livestreams that I SWEAARRR were there and they’re all just gone😭 I wish I had better memory from when I was younger so I could give more examples but I feel like I’m going crazyyy. So to the fans who’ve been here for a while, have there been any disappearances that you’ve noticed? Am I right that they’re gone? Or just not looking hard enough lmao

P.s. this might just be me misremembering but wasn’t there a blooper video for the la la land parody from superfruit? Idk anymore😔

Update?

hellooo!! I hope this doesn’t come across as rude but just that I’m interested in what’s been going on. I became a huge fan of pentatonix and superfruit back in 2014-late 2018. I stopped being a fan because as time went on, I started to feel like these people who were so close and so passionate, became okay with just being known for Christmas and covers. Idk if yall were there but the 2016 OG album hitting number 1?? For acapella?? Crazy!! I was sooooosososo excited to hear more originals. Then imagine my disappointment when the next EP was just covers again…. Idk I have a lot to say about why I left. Certain covers being covered by the wrong voice (Imo), them becoming more production-y and less relatable…. Idk it felt very off. Even on the superfruit side of things, imagine my surprise when the two closest people became not as close? That part is parasocial on my end (if not, all of this is in a way lol.) I’m not back as a fan (?) but I can still appreciate talented people, and I’ve been trying to see what’s new!! First of all, does Kirstie go by just Kirstin now? Are they still doing well as a group? Are there frequent interviews like there used to be? (Back then they did soooo many funny livestreams and interviews omfg,) are they all still active with one another? Idk tell me what I should or shouldn’t know or what yall think??

These streaming numbers made me smile, so thought I’d share🥹

I think about Superfruit sooo often. They’re like a relationship I was in that ended with no closure😂

Mark Hoying ?

Why is Mark Hoying featured in tour videos? Why does he say “when we were on tour”? Is he writing music? Is the newest band member? Don’t get it.

Pentatonix at Avicii Arena, Stockholm, thoughts on the tour finale

Got the final show of the tour in Stockholm last Sunday. Mixed feelings overall.

The pure a cappella moments were genuinely stunning. That is what Pentatonix does best, and when they focused on that, it really showed.

But the drums felt far too prominent this time. The show opened with very heavy percussion that almost buried the vocalists completely, and the drum solo in the middle of the show felt oddly out of place for a group whose biggest strength is the human voice.

The group also seemed a bit tired, which is completely understandable for the final show of a tour, but it did affect the energy and connection with the audience. Some moments where they tried to excite the crowd felt slightly mechanical. We also saw them in Reykjavik three years ago, which was also the final show of a tour, interestingly enough, and that concert had noticeably more spark.

One practical gripe: they kept encouraging people in the seated sections to stand up. I specifically bought a seated ticket because I am so old I actually want to sit, and anyone who has been in those sections probably knows how that usually goes.

Still very glad I went, mainly because of those pure a cappella songs.

Has anyone else noticed the drums becoming more prominent on recent tours?
